ok ok...but frankly it is a rather well done site isn't it, but to think of it, most of what he did, I can also do, it is just the resource that he has availble, meanign the graphics and sound library that he has on hand, in fact, I spotted quite a few graphics he used on the site to be from some of the library that I have come acroos, and the thing is that they dun come cheap. *shrugs* but hey again, it is a free world, and it is espeicailly true for design.

The Druid and the Assassin are the 2 new add on characters and this time,you will have to kill Baal who is on the way to the Barbarian Highlands to get the Worldstone.The ETA of the add-on is end of this year,but i am also keeping my fingers crossed for Warcraft 3 or Red Alert 2 to come out soon,ehee

Well.... true.. that what they did is not exactly very difficult to replicate, and also true that they have access to resources we cannot afford. It's kinda sad really, but then again... the challenge to being a designer is to create the best and most innovative design with limited resources.
In fact, I once read a book on design which says something like this... "A good designer can produce the best designs in the world, but a truly great designer can produce the best designs in the world even when handed limited resources."
Hmm... maybe you shouldn't have sounded out the "we can head for greener pastures" out loud. Now that they know... they'll be heading for those pastures as well... :p
Looking forward to the add-ons... and maybe Red Alert 2 as well... but somehow... Warcraft just doesn't interest me as much...

Well.. there was a lot of hype on VRML and DHTML when they were first launched.. and look at where they are now...
So I'd rather play safe and watch the situation before jumping in to learn the new langauge -

Computer Book Centre at Funan IT Mall?
Quite a variety of books there... but I think you can get them cheaper at Bras Brasah... can't remember the name of the stall.. think it's Basheer Books or something.. you can go there to check it out.
Anyway, I don't have a habit of buying books on new technology... I'll wait till it gets real hot... and get the best books on offer then.
1) it will be cheaper than the 1st book
2) it will be better and more updated
3) the technology would have been tried and tested, and certain problems identified and solved.
But then again.. that's just me.. KIASU.. haa haa... -
