Hi there,
Anyone interested in writing sonnets, a poem of fourteen lines with the following configuration of rhymes :
The first octave (8 lines) of the sonnet follows this tone :
abbaabba
and subsequently the last 6 lines takes either
cdecde, cdccdc, or cdedce
I have tried to write one recently, and I would post it up to follow up.
Anyone interested and give it a try..
Do take care.
yours sincerely,
The Prodigal

However, love is not about finding someone to relieve you, but love is about you devoting your heart and soul to love that someone, even if you know that someone do not love you the way you do."

Here is my 1st contribution and my very first sonnet :
Sonnet 1
--------
Oh my lady, be happy for my sake,
and beware of your emotions flow,
yet let not Fate's problems bestow,
Because there is so much at stake,
so much deceit, entanglement and fake,
Be contented for our lives are well-endowed,
and see our changing world thru a wide window,
and by sunshine, please be wide awake.
As Disaster seeks to reduce you
do not be fettered nor battered
and break you outright,
As Desire tries to seduces you,
do not let your heart bewildered
and forget what is morally right.

Hope you like it.
Yours sincerely,
The Prodigal
