a little poem to share..........
A rose will still be as beautiful,
without a name by which we call it.
a heart will still be broken,
no matter how hard u try to fix it.
would u like a flower for its name,
or a book for its cover,
or a person for his money?
look not on the outside
but explore the inside
find out what u need to know
and take what is needed to sow
the seed of love is waiting,
waiting for a gardener.....
it's life is in ur hands
let it blossom,
let it die.
choose wisely,
and love be fine. -
Some inspiration from insomnia, tonight.
Sleepless
The heather has wither,
but my heart still beats.
Your shadow burns in my mind,
you would never just leave me alone, would you?
I drank my chardonnay,
your reflection was dismiss,
but your voice came back to me,
How careless was I, to let you sneak through.
I listen to the radio,
your singing soon fade,
Now I am finally alone again,
I wonder why I would miss you.
Sleepless unwillingly,
A thought that revolutes inside me.
A memory I cannot forget,
The night is going to be long...

This piece of poetry is written by me last year, entitled "What you leave behind."
What You Leave Behind
---------------------
What you leave behind,
is nothing but a hollow shell,
that I struggle with pain and difficulty
and the days become nights.
What you leave behind,
is a knight who have lost his battle,
without honour he can proclaim
without a cause to fight for
and without the reason to carry on.
What you leave behind,
is a spirit of a man broken
distraught by betrayal and destruction
that only the wine could drown his sorrows
and nothing else in the world matters.
What you leave behind,
is a man who lost his convictions in life
who can no longer face himself
not even his family, friends and everything else.
So what have you left behind?
a soul that is awaiting to be defeated even more,
a body that is impatiently seeking for death
a heart that is shattered to pieces where nothing could mend it
Nothing but a dying wish to seek death.
What you leave behind is me,
a person who loved you and now be alone again.

I was just coming to this thread and was looking at my poem "What you leave behind". Thanks for telling me that it touches your heart. It does strike a chord to my emotions sometimes, because it creates the time where I was really at the pits of my life, and I wrote this out of pain and depression.... -

The Field where I died
----------------------
I stood by the field...
only to feel the whistling wind....
flow with the running waters....
dance with the swaying grasses...
experience the call of nature....
Too much beauty passed me by......
Too much uglyness swept me across...
Too much hate that could not seduce me to evil...
and too much love which I don't know whether it was true or not...
I gasped at the last breath of my life,
the beat of my heart almost come to a standstill,
My senses began to wither and slow
for the blood in my heart running low...
I want to let her go,
but all those love and hate which pervaded my mind,
all those sorrows and joy which injure my heart,
all those pain and tears which scarred my soul...
If there was a beginning,
there will be an end..
"Our lives entangled in woven threads of destiny"
If it was not meant to be now,
perhaps it shall be in the next destiny to come.
"Our love and hate trapped in this changing cycle"
If it was only a debt I need to pay,
it has definitely be over by now...
"for you will always remain a special place in my heart"
Perhaps, the field where I died...
was only to tell me
that this phase of my life's over
and it's time to go into the next cycle.....

This is another of my contribution to the forum. It is written in 1994, where it is the year where I wrote the most poetry.
The Night
=========
The Night,
A mystical period of the day
with the fiery sun obscured,
A periodic timing of half the twenty four segments
with saturated darkness and minimal light points.
Of Legend, it is said,
that an Entity in Heaven,
threw the cloak over half of Gaia,
but the shroud was imperfect,
which was why there are orbs of illumination,
For the concealed is overwhelming
and thus the birth of night.
Of Science, it is postulated,
By Oblers' paradox,
that it cannot exist,
as all points of starlight make the day,
even if the sun sets in the ecliptic.
But Edgar Allan Poe forged the golden walls with poetry,
Lord Kelvin conjectured the calculations with mathematics,
Hubble built the Expansion Law with physics,
to challenge the difficult riddle of the night,
Despite the efforts to solve the myth are made
the Night's mystery is still in shades.
Of Arts, it is fabricated,
by many poets that personified the night,
by many writers that it was Hades' incarnate,
by many artists that characterized the art innate,
by many musicians that composed soothing nocturnes,
with all music, arts,literature and philosophy built,
none can match a mortal's thought under the dark sky.
Of Mortal's thoughts,
Adore, cherish and love the night,
Fearful, hateful and afraid of no light.
As it is a time
to cease all work in day,
to consolidate all events in diary,
to enjoy that silent and soft flow of thought,
and to just idle and rest,
As it is a moment
of remembering someone or something dear,
of starry spheres to sight in heaven sear,
of not afraid the next day without fear,
As it is a whim
to feel a sense of care and comfort,
to be inspired by the surroundings,
to self reflect and cultivate,
and to feel peace and harmony,
The night, of beauty,
to enjoy her essence, as it's said,
till the next passing day awaits.

There's poem in clinging
and there's poem in anguish
but there's no lyrical beauty
in what I am going to do.
Perhaps if I serenade of
hearts longing to be free
or if I write songs of
impatient new Love waiting for me
I just think it's over
as unceremonious as a slap

only the crying one knows.

these are tears of joy
the crying one wouldn't mind more.

Dear all,
I just want to tell you all that it's really great to share all your poems here! I love reading poems but i guess i still need lotsa improvement on my writings. I hope you all enjoyed reading mine as much as i have enjoyed reading all of yours.
Anyone has have website to share? Mine's still in the process of constructing. Hope to get it done soon. -
Betrayed

As I left myself in the lands of Revere,
that I could see you again in pure,
like that forgotten kisses and caresses
which has now gone and disappeared
My soul was deeply cut by that dagger
when it was pierced into my heart
That you left me for him and
make my world dim
Which I still dreamed upon the basal phase,
that you had dominated once that love's lace
That I could not remember when I dreamt of you,
and realized that you never did love me
All it ever leave upon my awakening
was two winters of hurtful betrayal.

Prodigal, it seems that I am forever quoting poems to you After reading your signature line (and while acknowledging its possibility, at the same time I wring my brain trying to find a good argument to disprove it) I remember this poem by William Blake of the two sides of love and two people can argue forever without one acknowledging that he's/she's wrong.
The Clod and the Pebble

those lips
that sealed me
with tender kiss
are gone,
and the hands

i held with pride

helpless,hopeless

are the memories

BATS
Over my head, bats are flying.
Over my head, I hear them crying.
My grandma says to come inside,
But I do not want to hide.
They won't hurt me, they're to smart,
They won't tear your clothes apart.
I like bats, I don't know why.
So please leave them alone or else I'll cry.
