Katy Perry, Smashing Pumpkins, Ian Brown and Wondergirls to perform at SingFest 2010
An exciting lineup of artistes like Wondergirls, Smashing Pumpkins, Hail The Villain, Ian Brown, Kanye West, Orianthi and Katy Perry, among others, are scheduled to play at this year's SingFest 2010.
Happening on 3-5 August at Fort Canning Park, this will be the second installment of the multi-artiste contemporary music festival which took a brief hiatus last year.
If you're wondering why the festival is happening on the midweek this year, Midas Promotion's Michael Hoskings explained that it is due to the scheduling of the artistes who will be appearing at Japanese music festivals Fuji Rock and Summersonic, which will also take place around the same time as SingFest.
"The calibre of the artistes we bring in are more important ... SingFest is a festival for Singapore music fans and we strive to bring them only the best," says Hoskings. More acts as well as headlining act will be revealed in the coming days.
The festival will also take on a local flavor with the inclusion of one or two homegrown bands who will share the main stage. Names of the bands are yet to be confirmed.
Tickets ($175 per day) are on sale from Jun 25 on Sistic.
