Are Civil Service/Stats Boards public officers scare to vote for the Opps (in their hearts/ minds), although their hands write a cross on the lightning bolt for fear of their jobs?
Are Singapore Citizens scare to vote for the Opps for fear of 'later wait police come and catch me'?
ALL OF THESE WHICH ARE NOT TRUE...
They can't be involved in politics

But the truth is....... police will not come and catch ma!
The residents of Hougang and Potong Pasir have been voting opposition for goodness knows how long.
In the first place, this fear stems from people thinking that our votes are not secret.
Well, let me quote Sylvia Lim on this:
"Now some of you may ask, how come the PAP or Workers' Party knows which area supported them more or supported them less. The simple answer is that the votes are counted by polling district. Each polling district may have about 2000-3000 voters; roughly about ten to twenty blocks. So, we will know for each polling district, what was the percentage which supported Worker's Party. But we will not know which individual block or individual voter. "
PAP is not the state. The State is not PAP.
Not true at all la. I know of senior civil servants (though not of perm sec levels) who have voted for opposition and they still got thru to where they are today.
PAP want to check on kucing kurap for what? Wanna check also check those perm secs, ministers, CEO of stat boards etc.
me: " so wad makes u decide to come here"
PRC: " i didnt"
me: " wa, ur parents force u here or ur bf is here"
PRC: "neither, ur SG gahment invited us here"
me: " huh, wad do u mean"
they offer us, ALL Expenses paid for our fees in NTU, including lodging and we even get pocket money
on top of that, they have send me the INVITATION letter to apply for PR after we grad"
- PRC on PAP MOE.
maybe some of these shitheads are funded by GST?
Civil servants are supposed to remain neutral. To date, I have not received any indication from up there that I must vote for any party. Maybe the people in ministries may be more inclined I dunno. Or perhaps the scholars.
