Channel News Asia reported Goh Chok Tong speaking to reporters in Joo Chiat yesterday. Mr Goh said that George Yeo is too “important” a person for the cabinet to lose when asked about the likelihood of the PAP losing Aljunied GRC which was helmed by Mr Yeo to the Workers’ Party, which is fielding its strongest team there.
Goh Chok Tong was quoted as saying on Channel News Asia last night. “What mistake has George Yeo made? You can take a minister and criticise him for not delivering on perhaps housing and transport. Like Wong Kan Seng you can say he let Mas Selamat escape. George Yeo, what has he done to deserve this? And he is a core member,” he was quoted as saying on Channel News Asia last night.
However, the damaging statement has been removed today from Channel News Asia.
Is Mr Goh insinuating that Mr Wong Kan Seng is ‘less’ important a leader for the PAP regime to lose as compared to George Yeo?
And why does the local news feel compelled to censor statements that don't favour PAP? That's why we should not read or hear anything from SPH.

GCT said that? For real?
So he is acknowledging that WKS should be voted out because he did Mas Selamat escape?
So is he agreeing that the ministers in charge of housing and transport screwed up?

Probably indirectly saying that MBT is also responsible for the sky high HDB prices.
I think to be on the safe side, vote out the PAP foreign minister, PAP transport minister and PAP development minister and PAP home minister.
Even Goh Chok Tong admits to their errors.

Vote PAP OUT to Save SG, I am so angry with all the ministers and their policies. I think we should change the whole cabinet.

Honourable SM Goh rocks again! Tks SM Goh for telling these lesser mortals off!

I second that. They will be out one day but not this election. PAP members , none of them deserves to be in parliament.
that means Mah Bow Tan is blamed for high HDB and private property prices.

BG Yeo did no wrong???? The saga on the negotiation with Australia on its domestic air space a few years back , swept under the carpet?? His ministry readily agreed to Australia's request for the air space access northward of Singapore and didn't get them to agree to our request for full access to all their major airports.... What kind of negotiation was that ??? One -way traffic.
Cover up for the aim of winning. The truth will unveils itself again one day.
Singapore’s Foreign Minister George Yeo has apologized to the molest victim Miss Ang for his curt reply to her in a private message on her Facebook 10 hours after The Temasek Review broke the story, sparking a massive outcry in cyberspace. (read article here)
On 11 January 2010, Miss Ang posted a comment on Mr Yeo’s Facebook seeking help to expedite police investigations in a pending molest case. Miss Ang had lodged a report in November last year and had yet to receive a reply from the police.
Instead of offering some words of consolation and support to her, Mr Yeo gave a one-liner reply:
“Please see your MP”.
Mr Yeo’s rather insensitive reply drew flak from netizens who lambasted him for lacking “emotional intelligence” on our article which has drawn nearly 100 comments so far.
Out-of-touch felt that Mr Yeo’s lack of empathy is reflective of the entire PAP government:
“The Govt is getting out of touch with the common people. A story is told that if you put a frog in a pan of water and slowly raise its temperature, the frog can be cooked without being aware that it is unable to feel the changes in the ambient temperature….
Its not cool to act “corporate” style by short curt but efficient answers such as Mr George Yeo gave to Ms Ang. We need smart mangers, BUT leaders capable of compassion and able to show caring feelings.”
sibeidulan concurred that the reply is a bad PR move:
“Even if he’s not truly concerned, the least he could do is to be nice about it and refer the case to the Wong Cunt Sink at MHA nicely. His response is full of negativity. a bad PR move for a politician, to say the least. “PLEASE SEE YOUR MP” – I really wonder what went through his mind as he posted this on his wall.”
bochapliao felt he could have given a better answer:
“Georgie Yeo could have suggested counselling for the poor girl and all he said was go see your MP?
And the police can send 3 patrol cars with about 6 policemen to issue summons to an illegal hawker at Sungei flea market as reported in Stomp ST. And no police wants to attend to this poor girl who is traumatized?”

The Shit times is starting to report less opposition news, quite maybe three pages less then when it started covering the elections.
No lah, its just over the weekend lah. Sunday only had 1 pap rally, and the mayday rally took precedence. Monday's papers are always pretty thin one. Tuesday's one a little thicker, still recovering from holiday mood. I only look forward to saturday's papers, all the hp and car adverts.
But rallies are still taking place between both PAP and oppositions, they both around the same amount of rallies, why so little coverage of opposition?

You know the answer, and you're still asking the obvious. You really want people to flame you issit? You born in singapore just yesterday?

Just want to bring attention again to this problem, that's all., after all, it is one problem facing Sinkapore.
Newspapers, although quite worthless these days can still influence certain segment of voters.
Every vote counts, especially in this election.

We know, we know. There is even a thread for it. if it expires like the 100 over that already did, someone will create it again.

All media are under control of LKY and PAP.
I really dunno who is worse now, SM goh, or LKY.

Well, the competition is still on. Let's wait and see who wins the race. This election is really colourful.
One of the very rare moments where you sense internal struggles within the party. Heee. Anyway I hope Tampines-Punggol residents will stand up for the rest of us Singaporeans who have to take stupid public transport every morning and evening.
