A rare glimpse from ST...
AS CAMPAIGN fever heats up, former MPs and observers tell The Straits Times that they are witnessing a rise in levels of dissatisfaction being voiced towards the ruling party not seen in 20 years.
More people are also declaring openly their desire to vote for the opposition.
But on Saturday, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew said that the 'only hot seat' was Aljunied, where a Workers' Party (WP) team led by its secretary-general and four-term MP Low Thia Khiang is trying to unseat a PAP team helmed by Foreign Minister George Yeo.
But is that the case? Five days have passed since Nomination Day and, as the campaign crosses the half-way mark, what is the state of play in contests across the island?

Why should support for opposition be secretive?
It should be done openly and proudly.
For me I am going to vote for NSP in my Jurong GRC this May 7.
Because I know that if PAP continues to be in Jurong GRC, there won't be anymore Singaporeans left in Jurong GRC.
All people in Jurong GRC knows this.

I agree that there is nothing wrong with people who want to vote the oppositions voice out openly and proudly their choice. I still come across aunties telling people not to talk so openly. This group of people obviously still is not enlightened yet.
