How can ? CSM is the foreign talent that he bought in to replace him
This old heck treats everyone including foreigners whom he favours with disdain when they are a threat to him.
Arrogance is still so much in him. Instead of asking Singaporeans to repent he should be the one who needs to repent. If he does not repent he will go to the deeeper or deepest level of hell and this will make him difficult to jump from his grave back to Singapore. hahahahahha
LKY : shoooo... we dun need FT like u
I would tell him to go back to china too ..... people shouldn't swallow every shit that the PAP throws at you, but people shouldn't swallow up every shit the opposition throws at you either.
and this chap is one particular deadweight that's best buried deep. Imagine if CSM were a PAP candidate, people would have buried him so deep in flak for his background.
Imagine a taiwanese born chap who, who speaks english like an ang moh, and speaks mandarin like an ah tiong, soon after getting his citizenship, farked off overseas and stayed away for 30 years ... suddenly, he thinks he can come along and represent Singaporeans in parliament ? Even the PAP would never throw up such a candidate to the people, what on earth was the worker's party thinking ? ... was it all just for his paper qualifications alone ?
And now he thinks by showing to the world his growth dividend slip he's got a connection to singapore ? I would be very very angry if someone like that comes along and tells me that he's also got a fistful of Singapore's money despite him staying away for 30 years after getting his citizenship, opposition candidate or not.
He got do NS ar not?

funny thing is that it is PAP who is flooding Singapore with more and more foreigners yet they disapprove of Chen Show Mao.
I totally support Chen Show Mao.
The guy has substance and is sincere.
I was won over by Chen Show Mao's performance at his Hougang rally:

Yes he did.
IN THE past week, there have been questions asked about Mr Chen Show Mao ("About Chen: Time will tell"; last Thursday).
Personally, I count myself privileged to have served with Mr Chen as his subordinate from 1981 to 1982 in the military brigade during my national service.
Mr Chen always impressed me with his discipline, determination and drive to achieve excellent outcomes for all tasks assigned to him.
Besides that, he was well respected by working colleagues and was very approachable socially.
He is a person of such high calibre and integrity and I am looking forward to his selfless contribution to serve the nation.
I take this opportunity to wish him success and all the best in this coming general election.

of course, your nic already says you'd swallow up every shit this that's thrown at you, as long as it's opposition's shit ....
remember that you've been railing against chaps like CSM yourself regularly, in here ?

Yes, he did, voluntarily.
why don't the foreign labors from china here go backto china?
Mao come here to work also why. why election as politician not work meh?
Chen Show Mao's calibre is higher than most PAP candidates.
Such rare talents should be in parliament to serve citizens.
I warmly support Chen Show Mao's bid in this elections.
Singapore must move forward, not backward.

Don't think so. I said less foreigners, Chen Show Mao is Singapore citizen for 40 years and served NS.
Harry Lee Kuan Yew worked for Japanese in WWII when the Japs killed tens of thousands of people, yet he is in power for over 50 years.

Can Chen Show Man compared to Minister Lah Bow Tan?
Can he compared to PAP newbies like Foo Mee Har, Gan Thiam Poh, Ong Sze Kuan and or even Ting Pri Ling-Ling?
Hope he's not a Show-Man aka celebrity as wared by revered MM Lee

if he were to join pap, you might perceive differently

I beg to defer, to me, anyone who gets a red IC or a Singapore passport is a Singaporean. Therefore no one have the right to tell them to leave. Be it Chen Show Mao or Dr Puthucheary.
Given your argument, can we not say Dr Puthucheary had been benefitting from Singapore economy although he wasn't a Singaporean until some two years ago? I'm even suspicious of him being a Singaporean only 2 years ago, given that that is the minimum requirement to run as a candidate in the election.
I'm not angry that Dr Puthucheary did not do his NS when he became a citizen. But I'm angry that he had assumed his 10 years as a doctor is equivalent to be doing NS. This is an insult to all our local doctors who had fulfilled their NS. I'm proud that I too have done my NS for my country Singapore although I was just only a junior ranking soldier. I am willing to put my sons thru NS and to put them to perform their duties to Singapore in time of need.

I don't think it takes much guts to be an opposition candidate this time round, the ground is so sweet for the opposition this time round many people are lapping whatever shit the opposition throws up.
and I have nothing against FTs who come here to sink their roots and become PRs or citizens and put in a stake here. Infact, I think a certain renewal and rejuvenation is important for a dynamic society, not just a dynamic economy. But the important thing is that they must be rooted here. I did a comparision between CSM and his party running mate angela oon in another thread, true, angela is a malaysian who only got her citzenship only last year, but she's been here all the time, through good times and bad, so in this sense, she's rooted here and has got more stake in this country than CSM does, NS or no NS, remember, my ah tiong storeman friend also served his NS before farking off to australia on his shiny new red passport.
And your last sentence is precisely my point, if he were a PAP candidate, most of the people who have been railing against PAP and their foreigner policies would have jumped onto CSM and buried him so deep .... but there is this deafening and ironic silence now ..... just because he is an opposition candidate ... people have often accused the PAP of making a mockery of them ... but I'm flummoxed when they swallow up everything when an opposition party does the same thing ...

get the facts right. our forefathers werre not foriegners. they cam from a foreign land, they worked and fought in world war 2. they went through the tumoil before sgpore gain independence - to be a country a nation. no the forein talents and foreign workers. they cam from where there is a country with a nationality already - to another contry to work, we pitied thema dn grant them the title foreign talents. so please don'y degrade our forfatehrs as foreign talents. our ancestrs were fathers and mothers of singapore. they were no less holier and respectable than mentoes mentoes.

you're right, 10 years as a doc in Singapore doc may not be = 2.5 years as an army MO, but the difference between doc puthu, and worker's party angela oon, two candidates this time round who's gotten their citzenship within the last 2 years, is that both of them have spent more time in Singapore than CSM ever did, NS or no NS. I am suspicious of people who disappeared from long periods of time from singapore and then waltz back imagining they can represent the country and the people, be it CSM, wijaysingha or jeyaratnam. Being foreign born and disapppearing soon after getting his citizenship only reinforces this mistrust.
Just as I have put it, imagine if these people were to come out as PAP candidates, would the reception for them been the same ? Double standards ? Anyone but a PAP man ? ... I am sure the thinking electorate can see the irony here ...

I believe we Singaporean are not tat blind or raw to see what is happenin. if the policies are to benefit singaporean, do u think we like to have oppositions in the parliment?
pap have been mocking the opppsitions since jurrasic era n JBJ was 1 of the victim. He died a pauper fighting for what he strongly believed

I feel sad that JBJ cannot live to see the downfall of PAP and Lee Kuan Yew.

i concur, there's always two side to a coin but it still doesn't warrant anyone to tell anyone who holds a Singapore citizenship to leave. I may dislike the so call PRC "prostitute" who was given the citizenship but nevertheless, she is still Singaporean if she still wants to be eventhough I think that the system flawed.
