Employers to increase employees' salary?

Why did the PAP urgently ask the employers to increase employees' salary? Because thanks to the opposition, now they realize, "hey GDP growth = 14%, why did the average salary only grow 3%?" I bet if the opposition did not mention it, our high quality PAP MPs with $15k per month would not realize it. This shows how important it is to vote in the opposition.Why did the employees' salary not grow 14% as well? Here are some reasons:1) CEO and upper management get all the profit -- they have all the bonuses and salary increase.2) Profits are passed on as dividends, benefiting share price and share holders.3) Profits are reinvested in the business, or used to return debt.4) Profits are used in Dinner and Dance, employee welfare, and renovations, or stored up as reserves.In a free market, it is useless for the govt to ask employers to pass on profits to employees. Employers will simply not listen. The only way for salary to increase is through shortage of employees. Why isn't there a shortage of employees? Two reasons:1) PAP allowed in too much cheap foreign labor2) PAP allowed in too many new immigrantsTherefore because of PAP's wrong immigration policy, the salary of average Singaporeans could not even rise above inflation rate (5%). Now PAP realize their mistake thanks to the opposition pointing out. PAP tries to remedy the situation by pleading the employers. This is no use. The only way out is to reduce foreign labor, foreign talents and new immigrants.Thank you very much opposition. Without you, our "high" quality PAP does not know they have a flawed track record.

This kind of asking employers to increase staff salaries is beyond the help of the outsiders. Pple can only recommend and suggest to employers to up their staff salaries.
The final outcome still lies within the organisation and employers hiring process. Even if we narrow down to departmental manager, if he/she is those love to cut cost, his/her workers will also get no increment with him/her saying no justifyable to warrant a increase in their salary.
Many workers salary stagnant probably/likely due to their department manager. Those sway type of typical b(*(*tard manager who love to cut cost and dont want to see your salary increase.
And overtime, it affected the marco system and thus salary stagnant as a whole.

PAP is worried at the wrong time.
All these things have to be maintained between employers' profits and employees' pay at all time.
Rich men will just laugh it off.
PAP is fast becoming a laughing stock, just imagine if they are returned to power, we, draft citizens are also associated with idiots.

Yes, PAP indeed has the record of not keeping to what they promise. Eg, Swiss standard of living, Singapore World Cup 2010, increase GST to help the poor, everyone will not be left out, and will bring down the number of foreigners and please add on to this list. -

Track record of losing billions, Suzhou....temasek.....etc etc...ai yah alot where that came from lah.
Track record of raising their pay to millions....because that is to prevent corruption mah.
PAP very smart. That is why you have to listen to them. SM Goh say 'think out of the box'. PAP say 'foreign talent good'. You think out of the box and become a foreign talent lor.

It is ok to lose other people's money.

Pay decrease - Private sector will be 1st to implement.
Pay increase - Public sector will have already implemented.
It is just a recommendation from a committee.
If the company does not give the pay increase, the cheng hu would say they try their best liao.
Just like the price freeze for hawker center.
It is just a temporary sweetener for the election.
The MIW keep insisting they have track records.
But, they have track record of improving the price and not improving the service.
The SBS is a typical example.
The old man have to come out and defend the price increase.
In the end, the situation is as expected: Price increase, Service still sucks.
