potong pasir residents want their estates to be upgraded. Wth chiam out and his wife take over, I am not sure the resident will vote for her. Likely it will backfire.

do not speak too soon abt potong pasir...for 3 straight elections, i have been hearing ppl saying tats it, potong pasir will return to PAP but on all 3 occasions, they proved us wrong...no doubt this time, its not mr chiam but his wife, well we wait and see lor...
for hougang, yes shld be in safe hands...my fiancee lives in tat SMC and some of her better frends too...i spoke abit to them abt the GE...sounds like their votes are for WP...
for myself, i am voting for 1st time as my GRC always walkover...unlikely opposition will win but shld be gd fight if wad the newspapers report is accurate...

I guess it is good time to contest against Tanjong Pagar.
Since some wise one decided to stay on, we should give him a chance to do his work and fight for his votes.
See what he and the rest have to offer to the TP residents.
Not on what he and his 1st team have done but on what his present team can do.
We should move forward and let them show us what they are made of.
Please do not throw any more last minute upgrading and gardening as it will add on the living cost of the people.
Deliver what you can for the people.

SDA raises enough funds
The Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) team for Tanjong Pagar has turned up. They are Socialist Front chief Ng Teck Siong, the Singapore Malay National Organisation (PKMS) secretary-general Nazem Suki, Mr Ng Pian Ying from the SDA, Mr Lim Mie and Mr Abdullah Salam.
If their nomination papers are accepted, this will be the first time Tanjong Pagar is facing a contest.
The group announced days before Nomination Day that it was aborting its plans due to a shortage of funds. Mr Ng, 69, had said each candidate needs about $25,000 in election deposits and expenses, of which only 50 per cent to 60 per cent has been raised.
