in fact majority of singaporeans dont want pap to lose.
cannot imagine if that happens....
True, opposition don't want to form the government. They know that the PAP can do a better over all job than them. The opposition just want to win some seats in Parliament for the purpose of checks and balance thats all.
the outcome is not for the opposition to topple the existing yet.....they r not ready for big time.....its part of the history to gain entry for future political landscape - that is, for more participative politics...
all we need now is varied representations to challenge policies....

if they win u will feel unhappy, if they lose u will cheer :)
PARTICIPATIVE POLITICS is the key towards a sustainable future...
DESIGN YOUR OWN COUNTRY - a daring and most innovative approach to politics
The SDP under the Chiam made good headway with four seats but failed to build on that.

then we are already sunk....?!!!the oppositions need to learn quickly in 1 year and concentrate full power on each department becasuse no on here is getting yunger!!!!
nope.....it has to feel the stones of the political journey...
the opposition is still not ready for big time....political education cannot be completed in a year or two.....its a lifetime commitment....but the tradition has to be torn down for new developments for each phase....the ruling party is seeking change.....the opposition will have to seek change as well....
the outcome is not in winning, but to establish foothold ....the time for real change will only come in 10 to 20 years time....
personally, if opposition is wanted, i want a committed opposition to play for keeps than just to win....then thats not the opposition we should want
If PAP wins, they will increase GST to further help Singaporeans with their daily livelihood.
They will also bring in more foreigners to create more jobs for Singaporeans.
every empire will have its day....
nothing last forever...
If PAP wins All slaves go back to work and life goes back to normal in SIngapore
If PAP loses? In this context 'If' is such a big word.
Pap wont lost and opposition wont win.
If (when) the PAP wins: They will go back to business as usual, conveniently forgetting all of their pre-election campaign promises and rewarding themselves with huge raises at having obtained the mandate of the electorate to govern the country for the next five years.
If the PAP loses: The election results will be declared "freak" and made null and void, with the Senile Minister sending in the SAF to ensure that the PAP remains in power "for the good of the country." Then they will go back to business as usual, conveniently forgetting all of their pre-election campaign promises and rewarding themselves with doubly huge raises for having averted the disaster of letting the country fall into the hands of an incompetent opposition.
Did I nail this one?
i will stand for gender inequality....its been too long
that will be a good little punishment on the side line
I will be very worried if PAP loses a lot of seats in one election. Though the likelihood of that happening is almost impossible. We still need PAP to be in the majority, otherwise Singapore will suddenly lose its leading position overnight.
However, what is more worrying is when PAP wins everything. When there is zero opposition in parliament. Basically they can do whatever they like, don't even have to waste time listening to small cats meowing and ignoring them. They can then proceed to 'act on the people's interest' and pass any policy with ease.
That's why I like WP. Unfortunately they are not contesting in my GRC. But my vote still goes to the OPP.
Singaporeans need to stand up for ourselves instead of being led by the noses by these overpaid white people thinking what they do is what is good for you.

we want to see more representations....even if they win...there is nothing to applaud
so long as they continue with lop sided gender inequality, my vote clearly goes to the opposition

Die, NS active become 5 years, reservist become 20 years, and enlistment age is at 13 years old, if they get in and change things around.
all votee for oppositions in spore.the only ones schedules to vote for pap will be civil servants and stat board side.....so there will still be enough PAP if everyone other than gov related companies voted for oppositions.

There cant be such a thing as Absolut power. We need 50/50 in parliment, So every policy will be challenged. That is Democracy and not for One group of people to govern your life. This is very important. We have to go for Democracy!!
Even if opposition wins they'll only win a few seats. Not enough to make a big difference. But may be enough for a gd start for some change. Events after the election would be interesting.
