what happens if PAP wins and what happens if PAP loses

Uncle got this in his email after some exchanges with his friends. I don't see it here but thought you might be interested in this. If PAP wins the upcoming election in the next 5 years, this is what I predict will happen, I welcome any PAP member to come forward and prove me wrong. - GST will be raised to 10% - Tuitions fees in University, Polytechnics& ITE will be raised by 10%-20% each year because education in Singapore is low - More ERP gantries will be installed and ERP rate will go up - Healthcare will increase because currently PAP claim that it is “low� and “manageable� - Price of Public Housing will increase and PAP will continue to claim that it is affordable - Reopen the immigration flood gate, remember the ultimate target is 6.5 million - PUB bills will continue to raise - Your salary will take 5 years to increase while the salary of the ministers will take 1 year to increase, and the rate of increase is higher than yours - Public transport fare will be reviewed in Dec’2011 or earlier , and will be raised within 3 months, the formula for the increase will require PHD holder to understand - MRT will be more packed - COE/Car price will continue to increase - We will probably need to pay $100 or more in 2014 to watch the World up and our neighbour continue to enjoy low/free coverage. - Retail price will be raised in tandem as PAP raise the rental of entities under their control. - Some of our elders might have to move to JB, as suggested by Mr Khaw Boon Wan - In 2016, they will be given another Budget Hong Bao and people will vote for PAP again. If PAP loses the upcoming election in the next 5 years, this is what I predict will happen - GST will be lowered to 2%. YAY!! - Tuitions fees in University, Polytechnics& ITE will be free - No More ERP gantries - Healthcare will be free - Price of Public Housing will go back to the 80's because the resale flats have no takers - All the PRs will be revoked Hooray?? Wait!! There is always a catch which the Opposition won’t say! - PUB bills will continue to rise as nobody knows where to get the revenue to subsidise the bills - You don't have to worry about your salary because you probably have no jobs after the migrant workers leave and the companies close up with them - So you don't worry about public transport fare because there's no need to go to work! - MRT will be empty! - the roads will be empty as COE/Car price will decrease as nobody has salaries enough to buy a house let alone to buy a car - so removing the ERP was a great decision too! - We will probably be able to watch the World Cup 2014 free, it's the only entertainment we can still afford - at least the football fans will shut up. - Retail price and rents will be lowered as businesses have left and only poor quality goods are available - Some of our young will migrate to JB, the prospect there would now better than Singapore because of all the above - The new government will issue debt notes to finance their spending because the president will not let them pilfer the kitty - Singapore dollar devaluates and interest rates go up - Prices of imported food will go up by 10% per year. - Many lose their housing as they cannot keep up with high payments on mortgage. No jobs anyway where to get money?? - Rentals of flats will fall by 30%. Residents looking for rentals are very happy. Because many empty flats left behind by foreign workers who’s been sent back. - There will be very few foreigners around. Many business cannot operate, close down and Singapore’s unemployment goes up to 10%. - Prices of flats fall 10% per year and banks will have to make calls to owners to make up for negative equity. - Oil-price induced inflation cannot be mitigated because imports have become more expensive with a devalue SGD so inflation will continue to spiral. - Singapore dollar will lose its value by 5% per month - Singapore reserves will be depleted to fund external factors that will cause cost to rise (and we will be in debt just like Big Brother.) - GST will decrease to 3% but income tax will go up to 45% because we will have no reserves, no savings! So you tell me why vote for the Opposition? Join me Vote for PAP!

PM Lee just said that unless govt anyhow spend money and dun have enuff money, there is no need to increase the GST.
So if they increase within 6 months, means they anyhow spend money, how can? -
thats why i said a step by step process should be made for handover.if not many many problems will happen......u need a skilled organiser n practical people for those job....people who can also forcast the future.....

I know one thing for sure, if PAP were to lose half its seats to opposition. Singapore this well greased smooth running machine will at least start to slow down. And thats not a good thing.

Just read title only, can't be bothered to read TS post.
If PAP forms the government, continue as per usual.
If the PAP semi-lose, PAP will close ranks and all PAP backbenchers will not open their mouths. They will leave it to the Oppositions to raise issues.
If WP forms the government, they won't be able to govern because the PAP would now be the Opposition, and they can be very sticky and hamper the WP efforts.
Lets not go into if SDA or SDP forms the government.

Scenario1:
i once saw people on a sinking ship fulla holes in the middles of a huge ocean...fulla holes.no one wanted to repair it even though it was sinking....then some people founded some material to repair the holes on sinking ship.then some found a dinghyand floated it in the middle of the huge ocean.
so some started patching up the ship with material and found it was difficult because they didnt have the right engneer or people with knowledge to fix it.then some decided to climb into the dinghy b4 the ship sinks.
so the situation ended where one group of people climbed into a small dinghy in the middle of the ocean.the other stayed back on sinking ship scratching heads trying to know how to fix the holes on sinking ship with water gushing out of the many holes.
results:people in dinghy were found 1 month later dried up like ikan bilis.
sinking ship sank a bit at a time until there was no way get materials to fix the holes underwater.everyone died on it...

1)either u get experts to fix the holes on sinkin ship.

in fact majority of singaporeans dont want pap to lose.
