THE People's Action Party's election manifesto is likely to be unveiled on Sunday, when Young PAP celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The widely-anticipated document is said to focus on 'the future Singaporeans want,' and will likely be the topic of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's speech at the event.
Although the content of the manifesto is tightly-guarded, party sources say that it will contain election promises on 'keeping Singaporeans together'.
Hot-button issues like the influx of foreigners over the last few years and the income gap are also expected to feature.
It was written by a committee of PAP MPs spearheaded by Finance Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, and its launch flags off the ruling party's campaign for the upcoming elections.
1) helping the poor (increase GST to 10%)
2) jobs for everyone (more FT, Singaporean =/= anyone)
3) increase wealth of singaporean (HDB price going up up up )
