I am not impressed with the other 2 opp parties either (not the person but the party itself). As for the incumbent Mr Sam Tan, I have only seen him once at my door step since the last election. It will be best for the opposition to send in a strong candidate from the Workers Party to contest here and he/she will surely get my vote. This will be my small contribution to build a stronger opposition and alternative to the existing government whose policies I do not fully agree with. If Mr Alec Tok is able to work with the Workers Party by standing under the WP ticket in the contest, then he will get my vote too. Many people wants to see a united opposition; if there is not that much of a difference in ideologies then why not merge into 1 party and work for the better of singapore, and since WP has been around for such a long time, people can associate with it better as compared to the other parties.

well, it's very disappointing that area under Radin Mas SMC are old and rundown with not much facilities unlike other towns. It's really an old and isolated town here. Not much has been done these years. Moreover, flats here doesn't come cheap. Those were the days when the former HDB was located at Bukit Merah. The town was so vibrant then.

Bukit Merah is also considered one of the oldest town but while most old towns (eg: Dawson, Clementi ...) have undergone major transformation, Bukit Merah still remains untouch. Hope to see major transformation in this town soon..... Hopefully!
Let's point out your views here:
1) Old Bus Interchange ( No Aircon and far from Redhill MRT, most towns have their Bus Interchange next to MRT)
2) Not enough parking lots hence causing the uproar of a resident resorting to park his car at the handicap parking lot in order to get the attention from HDB & media.
3) Not much childcare centres, preschools & kid's orientated facilities in the neighbourhood.
4) No shopping mall in this town.
5) No swimming/sports complex.
6) Estates look old with not many multi-purpose hall.
7) Run down & dirty bus-stops.
8) Poor maintenance & dirty.
9) Many shops at Bukit Merah Central had moved out and left vacant for very very long long time.
10) Not many buses along Telok Blangah.

The tide is now changing. Singaporeans are now much more mature and knows their rights. It is the duty of the elected government to take care of all Singaporeans regardless of race, religion or political affiliation. There is no such things that only if you vote me, then I upgrade your estate!!!
Mark my words, if you do not vote for the oppposition now, and if only say 45% voted the oposition, your ward would be absorded into some super GRC and you will never get to vote again.
So, do not be afraid of the PAP. Instead, let them be afraid of you!

democracy implies there is a CHOICE, ie PAP is not shoved down your throat. so, please do not despair over the fact that there will be more than 2 parties competing there. This is how TRUE DEMOCRACY works. enjoy the freedom while it last.
U and the other 11 chosen SMCs holds the key to the future of Singapore. vote out PAP and our voices will finally be heard in parliament. vote them back, and we will have to face their arrogant leadership once again.

Don't worry PAP party "A" team talent on their ways, will advices singaporeans what DOs & DON"T before GE 2011. PAP party say votes men in whites will have this will have that because they "A" team talent mean; AGEING TEAM TALENT will help if singaporeans OBEY them HAHAHA . I THINK opposition parties should have theirs are "O" TEAM TALENT this will have more confident for singaporeans. why!!!!!! because "O" TEAM TALENT mean "OK"TEAM TALENT

I belive the PM should stand in a single ward for elections. That would prove to everyone how well he is liked and respected. He would have no PROBLEMS when introducing his mandate.

Election coming, suddenly appear make house visit. Should do it even if it is not an election year as it helps to get to know the residents and get to know your area well. Just listen to the uncle in the video 0:48, he even know which block is doing drugs. hahhaha

Sam Tan. better buck up. done almost close to nothing and only act when the election is nearing. seriously what is the difference between the incumbent and another " untalented"opposition? seriously unimpressed by his effort. all you need is to cast your sight at radin mas smc and u will know the difference.
