three way fight might kill opposition chances, four even worse, can't get back election deposit, but for PAP will in a way pull down their %-age.
See, they're killing themselves before it even starts. If they can't work together before the elections, how is it any different in parliament?
this is why i say the opposition don't need the MIW to destroy themselves.. they're all more interested in infighting and all kinds of BS..
playing into the hands of the MIW...
so.. between the MIW and the opposition? it's like choosing a rock and a hard place
Alec tok came back from new york. Nazem does not impress in any way. Yip Yew Weng, yes heard of him but don't know what he does and what beliefs he stands for.
Wah how to vote? Still, I wouldn't vote PAP.
Don't vote lor, 5 years later than renew lor.
RP sounds better out of all possible options....
Mandarin, hokkien, cantonese, teochew, English speaking Yip Yew Weng is the right man for Radin Mas.
Yip will be able to understand the needs and concerns of the 'ang swa' red hill and telok blangah one roomers - old folk concerns, old folk amenities, govt policies towards oldies etc.
A businessman mat or a arty-farty Chinese man of 45 years old never have anything common with the mainly dialect speaking old folks of these areas!
They should just back down.

Perhaps you are right. Alex Tok would be more appealing to those of the Gen X, Gen Y.. those that use the internet ..... maybe he should try standing for Hong Kah North SMC instead?
Indeed it is a grave disadvantages to the 3 opposition parties fighting for votes.
PAP definately welcome it with open arm.
end game.
Mr Yip Yew Weng, 60, who was unveiled as the National Solidarity Party (NSP) candidate for Radin Mas at a media conference on Tuesday, said the two other opposition candidates should give way and 'not waste their energy and resources'. -- ST PHOTO: STEPHANIE YEOW
That is the way! Give way to the better opposition party. Dont kill each other.

That's like an old man telling children to fark off, you think the children will give a fark?
They should come up with a united coalition to fight PAP one on one.
I dare to say their votes will increase by 10 percent if the public see a united opposition.
If they can get many good talented candidates with good qualifications, the chances of defeating PAP in SMC and GRCs is much higher than now.

In that case, opp party are committing sucide...RM will belong to pap.
Imagine this scenario....
34% - Ruling
22% - Opp A
22% - Opp B
22% - Opp C
Opposing votes split into 3... But ruling wins.

Everyone knows that, apparently the opposition don't. So if they are already so dumb before elections begun, you wanna trust them in parliament?
Now, pple are beginning to ask themselve if they have internal conflicits with one another, can they serve the pple? Agreed with Ditzy.
papian sam tan napshot liaoz ..... hor-sey-liaoz, $15K every mth
Opposition still don't understand the fact that although they come in different parties, such as PPP, NSP, PSP, OPP, majority of singaporeans lump them together as just the "oppostion". And when the "oppostion" are seen as cannot decide what they want, singaporeans will go "fark that shit".

Impossible to have such a scenraio currently.
PAP-60%
OPP A- 20%
OPP B- 20%
This more likely.
Remember the lesson from 2000 Taiwan president elections.
Ah Bian won by a split in pan blue camp.
Back in 1970s, 3 corner fight was common
not really.
For the last Five years, what has the Radin Mas MP promised the resident. ( another YES man )
Radin Mas resident, give the opposition a chance.
Entitlement to basic amenities like libraries, playground and facilities for the elderly is a basic right in singapore and should not be mistakenly tied to who is the ruling party in that estate. They should not fear that they will be punished just becos they voted for the opposition to run the wards.
Too many voters have fallen for this bait that the ruling party has dangled in front of their noses. If they are really sincere about helping the citizens, it should not come with any pre-requisites. Afterall, are these ppl not contributing to the economy and development of the nation? This is a low brow approach and the best way to show them what we think of their actions is to vote them out of parliament. Only with a 2-party system will there be real democracy and balanced views.
Radin Mas, your chance (probably your ONLY chance), to vote again. Vote with your heart for both your residence and Singapore's future.
Let's not waste the opposition's good will to stand for elections. It is the opposition that gives Singaporean a chance to vote. They stand for a reason: to serve the residents and check/balance on our national interest. I dun believe that no true blue Singaporeans have potential capabilities to match any of the PAP's candidates as mentioned in the media. Give opposition a seat in the Paliament, and they will also gain experience and matured thru time.
I am a resident of Radin Mas for 5 years. The only time I ever seen MP Sam was when he was doing his walkabout. Guess what? Amazing Wayang happened before the walkabout. The whole estate was polished inside out. I even witnessed a indian worker who came to the rubbish chute area outside my flat at 11pm the day before the MP's visit. He was equipped with Autosol, Brossol or whateverso, trying hard to clean off a black stain on the floor which was there years ago. Yes, a black stain at the rubbish chute compound, that detail. Well, Sam came finally, when ask about the over populated carpark, he said he cannot do anything. When compliant about some crockcoach and amazing he gleemed and said loudly " Ahha, this is something he can do!", which is to ask town council to take action.
I have never saw him since then. I miss him very much... there is new stain outside my flat now.
when i wrote to mr sam tan late last year questioning the presence of of security cameras in the multistorey carpark (my newly bought vehicle was vandalised), the answer i got was a big taichi circle with no answer to why the security cameras which is a norm in other estates of singapore is not being installed in radin mas. the email was forwarded to some guy from hdb who gave a reply which hinted they are not going to do anything about this. oh btw, there is someone who regularly defecate in the stair well of the mcsp. if there is no cameras, i can expect to see more @#$% and smell pee in the future as there is no deterrent.
i also brought up the problem on the lack of parking space which the vehicle owners are facing, with many being forced to park in loading bay, motocycle lots and no parking areas. there was a notice at the lift lobby 2 years back informing residents that the town council is converting the 3rd level of the mcsp which is now a "sky park" which i had seen no one using since i moved in to my current place in 2005, back to parking lots. the reply i got was it will be ready by september this year. till date, nothing is being done.
on the other hand, with a scattered opposition, i do not think any of them will wrestle radin mas away from pap's hold. to have a 4 way battle is just asking the opposition voters's votes to be divided. why cant the opposition band put aside personal differences and stand together as a united front?
Kick OUT PAY N PAY $ Clowns ??
Lift upgrading is the failure of of PAP . HDb should have design it when it build the flats. But they just built it then say ok later we can upgrade . Don't forget upgrade is not free , every huosehold have to pay. PAP is just trying to show that they care but at our expenses. Please its time to have a CHANGE ! . We need opposition to voice up if not PAP will just do what is going to benefit them ( Higher salary and MP allowance ).
Part of TANJONG PAGAR ward for the past 27 years and still so much rooms for improvement? Where have all the talents gone to?" Walkovers" sure led to complacency. But never mind lah, what is another 4 years compared to 27 years!Radin Mas residents should vote PAP and mourn good years.
