This forum is pro-opposition and pro-truth enough and sufficiently aware of the key issues in Singapore's future.
Yet we will not succeed because our voices are divided into different constituencies. How does a 66.6% pro-PAP vote result in 82/84 PAP seats?
The system is against us. Under the winner-takes-all voting system, a huge amount of opposition votes are wasted. Explain to people how wasted votes work under http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerrymandering#
Simple_example_of_how_a_minority_can_gain_supermajority_representation_via_gerrymandering
Not many of us visit the forum. And even then our voices are divided. Even when we convince others about various issues, they might not feel the issue is worth voting over compared to their propaganda-tinged "overall picture".
Unless we spread the message of truth in the real world, we will not make a difference! Your action counts because you won't have another chance for 5 years!
Just let the opposition spread bah...

I support direct proportionate system !!!
Who propose this system get my vote !!!
Way better than current NCMP scheme.
Although under this scheme, PAP also is majority party. But got more opposition voices which PAP really hates.

Lol, it is called proportionate reprisentation, not direct proportion.

To answer your qn, unsolicited printed matter from political parties is illegal. Not unsolicited printed matter cannot be given, they have to be sold.
This forum is not a political party, but if we do that, it might be gazetted like TOC.

You can do that under your own capacity, but not under political association capacity.
The flavour here is still neutral and balanced and is based on published articles. We voice out our personal comments and opinion on that matter.
Forums like Temasek Review have a huge strong flavours in pro-opposition. Majority of the article are written by individuals contributor.
We have a larger community than TOC, and our forumers updates us entries much more frequently than TOC.
*I do visit TR for my daily boost of election news, but... sometimes you'll need to hear two side of the story instead of just one whole big side*

that's why you always complain why oppositions never do this and that.

election is about majority wins. under current circumstances, we cannot expect the ruling party to bend the rules to suit opposition. opposition must abide by the rules and try to won. once the battles in election are won, the consitution war in parliament can be challenge and won. only then, rules can be bend to allow more level playing field.

That is true so all the more we need to beat them under their rules.
I feel if we have another 5 years of overwhelming PAP majority, we have only ourselves to blame.
Why did 66% of Singaporeans support PAP? One reason is voting is compulsory. Alot of the older generation have no interest in politics. They don't want to visit any websites or hear any views, but they hear the background noise every day that says the opposition is untrustworthy. The media is against the opposition, and many forms of campaigning are not allowed.
Perhaps policies are nothing to them but the estate upgrading matters. Unfortunately with 66%, 82/84 seats still go to the PAP.
I am trying to personally convince a handful of friends so that whatever the result, I know I did my part.

Ya, opp very very restircted.
You wanna beat the pap, you have to find their way.
The way is not easy and direct. Lots of obstacles and lots of no entry barriers.
like i always say n i say it again.
Election result ANYTING BELOW 65% is consider a win 4 d opposition. hiphiphoray opps
Win every year but no change, no use right?
Ask your bros to talk to their pax about how life is, maybe one or two SMCs got change :) better than no change right. We can do it!
One month more. Let's help the opposition help us! This is our last chance!
