SINGAPORE: People's
Action Party chairman Lim Boon Heng said the pace of introducing new
candidates for the coming General Election is based on several factors,
including strategic considerations.
"The pace of the announcements of our candidates will depend on what kind of tactical decisions we have to make," Mr Lim said.
"When it suits us to announce ahead, we will do so. But when we think that we may need to tactically delay, we will do so."
Mr
Lim, who is also the deputy chairman of the People's Association, was
speaking to reporters on Saturday at a team-building programme at the
Outward Bound School on Pulau Ubin.
Joining him were some 85 grassroots leaders.
The programme, launched last month by the People's Association, aims to forge closer bonds between the participants.
The target is to reach out to 4,000 grassroots leaders this year.

By Hoe Yeen Nie | Posted: 26 March 2011 2051 hrs
SINGAPORE: A potential member of the People's Action Party's
core leadership team may be unveiled as early as next weekend, and the
candidate will likely stand in Marine Parade GRC.
This was revealed by Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, in a posting on the constituency's Facebook page.
Mr
Goh wrote that he is planning for someone to succeed him "in leading
the GRC one day", and that he has asked Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong
to send him "a strong candidate who has the potential to be part of the
fourth gen (generation) core team".
He added that the candidate will be named next weekend.
Mr Goh has been updating the Facebook page regularly since his first post on March 18.
On
Friday, he paid tribute to retiring Marine Parade MP Matthias Yao, and
hinted at a possible new candidate, 27-year-old Tin Pei Ling.

may be LHL's son.
New or old from that dynasty does not contribute any good. Hopelessness is eternal for them.

On Friday, he paid tribute to retiring Marine Parade MP Matthias Yao, and hinted at a possible new candidate, 27-year-old Tin Pei Ling.
Tin Pei Ling is married to civil servant Ng How Yue, who is principal private secretary to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The potential candidate is 27-year-old business consultant Tin Pei Ling, who will be the youngest woman candidate in recent history, and the youngest since former Speaker Tan Soo Khoon was fielded in 1976, also at age 27.
When contacted, Ms tin pei ling declined to comment on her possible candidacy. ‘It would be quite presumptuous to think that I will definitely be a candidate,’ she said.
Tin Pei Ling is an Honours student in the NUS University Scholars Programme, majoring in Psychology. Pei Ling served as President of the NUS Society of Social Work & Psychology Students in 2003/04. She is also a grassroots volunteer (since 2004) with the Ulu Pandan Community Club Youth Executive Committee, and the South West Community Development Council. A natural orator, she competed against native speakers from Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan in the inaugural Taipei City Cup Chinese-English Impromptu Speech Contest in 2005,emerging with the top prize in the tertiary category.

This kind of people are fighting for their own survival. Business consultant is a polite term for jobless in the west.

If opposition wins really big, she and her husband can go pluck grassroots downstairs to eat.
Good riddance to these kind of young traitors.
