LAW and Home Affairs Minister K. Shanmugam on Saturday introduced to constituents two serving MPs who could be on the slate for the new five-member Nee Soon GRC that he is set to helm.
The first is current Marine Parade GRC MP Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, who made a special appearance last night at a dinner in Chong Pang to promote racial and religious harmony.
Mr Shanmugam introduced Dr Faishal to some 400 religious and grassroots leaders at the dinner.
The new electoral map has subsumed Dr Faishal's Kaki Bukit ward under Aljunied GRC. But Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo, who helms Aljunied GRC, said last week that Dr Faishal is unlikely to be fielded there.
Earlier in the day, Mr Shanmugam was present when Sembawang GRC MP Mohamad Maliki Osman introduced Ms Lee Bee Wah to some 100 private estate residents who live around Jalan Mata Ayer. New face Vikram Nair was also present.
The estate is in Dr Maliki's Admiralty ward, which is
currently part of Sembawang GRC but will become part of the new Nee Soon
GRC at the next polls.

Even if I live in Yishun I will not support him. I would plump for Poh Lee Guan, if he is leading a WP team there.
I'll make sure Aljunied won't be taken by WP again either.

PAP need "Yes man".
Most of PAP candidates will be "TONGPANG" in2 parliament.
Most of 'em, if not all, ARE FOLLOWERS, all they nid 2 do is juz do wat they were told.
nonthing 2 show, juz their high degree n high govtment post.
If they really r good polictican or good mp........ STAND IN SINGLE WARD .....n ..... REALLY get a vote/mandate fm his constituents.
True.
The new faces will just follow the seniors around.
Have their name and face put in the ge.
Just dont anyhow say anything in the public, consult the seniors when they want to voice out anything. YES SIR MAN!
