SINGAPORE : The
Secretary-General of the Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) Desmond Lim
has said the alliance plans to contest two Group Representation
Constituencies (GRCs) in the General Election due by February 2012.
Mr
Lim and Mr Ismail Yaacob, Vice President of PKMS, told Channel NewsAsia
that the SDA has identified at least ten candidates to contest in the
Marine Parade GRC and Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC.
The SDA was the
brainchild of Potong Pasir MP Chiam See Tong and comprises his Singapore
People's Party (SPP), Singapore Justice Party and the Singapore Malay
National Organisation or PKMS.
