And LV taxis can saturated inside certain areas .
And focus more on certain strategy .

LV has to filter out those outside cbd calls after 5pm , no drivers take , for what ?
Since CDG so strong , we let them take lor .....
After 8pm calls , inside cbd to woodlands , same crap lah , no people take one .
Filter out once again ...... for who ? I dunno .

Thats why this type of organisation cannot grow big . This mai that mai , Call to ah wood no takers , call to CQ open cal, next time people see the number also mai dial liao.
so left the same bunch of people to fight for call .
But tia kong from exisitng member now the 2 official Q very long? people waiting there dunno doing what while the rest of town pim pim piang piang.

Hi everyone, I am back. To start this journal for what new TD to be, this is a run down of module you will go through and my 2 cents experience about the test.
There is a total of 5 module:
Module 1: Taxi Service Overview and Road Safety
Module 2: Taxi Rules and Regulation
Module 3: Locate Destination
Module 4: Plan Routes
Module 5: Deliver Quality Taxi Service
Module 5 is a class room test individually. There are a total of 3 practical tests in 3 days.
1. The test is about how you check vehicle, vehicle condition, on duty checklist
2. Wheel chair handling and,
3. Role play of pax on board and alighting.

Module 1 (Score 40 of 50 question to PASS), Module 2 (Score 43 of 50 to PASS)
Module 1 and 2 being the most easier one unless one who are not in English. Module 2 is mostly common sense question and straight forward.
Module 3: Locate Destination
Module 3 has a total of 50 question and you need to score 41 to pass. A street directory is provided to locate a location, building, Taxi stand, Place of interest, POI etc.
This is the paper I assume is the 2nd most hardest one as it consume a lot of time flipping directory to locate a place. It requires memorize of the street directory legend, index and contents.
Module 4: Plan Routes
this is the hardest module to pass. It has 30 question but require 24 to pass. It is not tricky nor difficult. The challenge is becoz there is no way we can remember all the singapore road name (perhaps not for me). Despite of the 40 Route given in the notes, we needed to memorize them even though we know the short cut.
Usually, module 3 and 4 is tedious due to the time constraint. And during the test, we need to keep focusing on the street directory and flip from pages to pages. Concentrating for 1 hour on the map can be painful and hot boiling blood.
All test are carried out in multiple choice and is constraint to be completed within 1 hour. It is tested using iPad in the class room.

I hope these outline can benefit those who are preparing to take up the TVL licence.
Information is updated as of March 2013 and heard that April Syllabus may encounter some changes.
My test was on 7 March 2013, manage to pass Module 1 and 3. Took a retest today(8 March 2013) and pass module 2 and 4. Why I fail in Module 2 when I said it is the easiest? Well, I was emotionally affected by the fail result in module 4 before taking module 2 and partially over confidence. I finished module 2 in 20 minutes and without going through we'll enough and end my test. Anyway, lucky I have manage to clear the paper in 2 attempts. Out of 38 of us, I learnt that, only 4 mange to pass all module in one single attempt.

Waited for my TVDL since the day passing all the test on 8th March, I have received SMS today at 4.45pm from SMRT to collect my TVDL. Waiting time frame is merely 1 week. I wonder for those who took their test from other training centre waiting time frame.

I have decided to take up as relief driver for the time being, regardless of day or night. Want to try out both timing to see if which one suited me best. Manage to put flyers around my place. So far I had received a call and has yet to discuss the detail.

Wah I take test on the 2nd march 1 time pass, u get ur tdvl liao...
not fair man... limpei take at STA so slow lol... I guess take from comfort or smrt de faster... got its perk
nb smrt n comfort got san ka with LTA...
I guess mine next week tue or wed then recieve letter...
