Would you give money to a stranger...
who is obviously a healthy person that should be able to work?
This year I have encountered more than a usual number of strangers who approached me for $10 with reasons such as...
- Lost wallet;
- need money to take cab go home;
- need food.
If in the case of need food, I would offer to buy them food.
Is Singapore's economy becoming so bad that more people need to beg?
If i am approached on the street and that person seem desperate enough, a buck or two wouldnt seem to hard. Probably at most five, enough for him or ehr to get a meal. But if he or she starts aasking for more, it's pretty obvious this person is out to hussle you.
