Heehe...as the topics goes...Since I started it....I shall start with abit from my 'Eating in Geylang' book.....hahah
Lor 8-Dim Sum
Lor 9-Beef Kuay Teow/Frog Leg Congee(Take the Gong Bao one)/Soya Milk/Soya Beancurd/Taiwan Mee Sua
Lor 11-Lor Mei(Stew Meat)/Dan Dan Mian/Hearbal Mutton
Lor 15-Beijing Steamboat
Hehe..stop here first next time then give more...lol..Got restruants from all over singapore coming up next time....hehehehe

SRC-Singapore Recreation Club at padang. Buffet Ala Carte. Approx $30 per head..lobster/sharks fins.... Best if you can go in a table of 10...good value.... -
but that one you need a member to bring you in then you can eat rite?? On weekends, the jap restuarant there also serves buffet style....sushi, sashimi and etc....very good lor. -
Humm, apprently my friend went in last time without the need. Maybe we can cfm that again before planning a meal there??? Dragon Pearl Resturant at Takashimaya.....
Approx 20++.
Got i think abt 8 different types of congee(can't realli recall i noe quite a number), siew mai, hao gao, crystal bao, feng chang, chicken feet and etc quite a number of dishes.. and taste good too..one of the few better ones i been to.

Yum Char Resturant at Chinatown....
Not buffet thou. but the food there is quite nice....
Chicken feet, Feng Chang, Siew Mai, Har Gao(one of the few better ones in town) and others....
The desert they have, Mango pudding, Rock melon Sago, Gui Ling Gao, and others....
Overall not too bad..considering that its in chinatown...can go KTV after that...

Long Jiang Resturant at Crown Prince Hotel, behing Orchard biggest Hello Shop.
Ala Carte Buffet Sichuan food....Approx $20++ close to $30
Gong Bao Ji Ding, Cuttle fish with cashew nuts and others...cannot remember liao...too many....Try to go during this period, thier dessert is mooncake...(on the table there take yourself...unlimited serving) I noe it's a bit stuffy to have mooncake as dessert, but the Shanghai mooncake is realli very good. Summore outside pple que to buy one one box of 4 is abt $30+.... hehe...in the resturant its FOC...hehe... -
Like tim sum...go to red star restaurant at Chin Swee. Traditional cantonese type of dim sums....weekend alot of people but dun need to wait long for food or seats. affordable also

For those who like soya sauce chicken noodles.... Opp chinatown point at the shop houses.... 2 shops, once family owned. but broke up. I think quite famous...you guys and gals should know it....

Those who like to drink coffee and eat toasted kaya bread in a traditional setting.... Far Eat Sq (near China Sq) around Upper Cross Street.... Ya Kun's coffee shop....good toast with good coffee...traditional chinese cups and chairs...for those who wld like to relive the moments of early 80s coffee shops with friends and love ones....I grew up with these type coffee shops so it brings back alot of memory...

This one is very good so far one of the best I tasted in singapore...
Princeps Street...Opp Peace Centre...
$0.60 per bowl..very smooth and nice...thou the serving is small...but it's cheap..so can go for 2nd serving.... -

I tried this before.... so smooth it can slide down your throat
isit still only available at night oni? coz "long" time ago i went there and it is oni available at nite.
Another place for Dao Hway is Geylang... the "You Tiao Wang"... the you chao kway and dao hway and most of the food there is delicious... yummy

Late afternoon till nite...mornign and afternoon not open one...As for the dao hui at geylang lor 9....i did intro b4..but personnally, I think it's rather normal...or slightly better than average...not as outstanding as the one that is mention previously...Originally posted by jAnY:MadGoat,

For people who love to eat ban mian....there is one stall at city plaza. The stall is on the 5th floor. the ban mian is real good. And the price ranges from $3 - 5. Can really try!!

The one opp peace centre is still the best I have tasted so far...hehe..I have been going there very often these few daes..haha...I think the name is call Rochor Dao Hui...lol....something like tat....those who realli can go one have a try...then u noe what is call smooth dao hui...but do rememember thier Dao Hui Zui(soya bean drink) ain't fantastic..it's thier dao hui that is the good one... -
Just went to yum char with my friends yesterdae afternoon at forum...I think the name of the resturant is call Jade Palace...Not too bad..
3 of us eat abt 40+ onli...
Thier congee is good..(thou i dunno what's the name of the congee that I ate since my friend ordered it b4 I came),Char Siew Bao is good, Malay cake,feng chang and others...Not too bad..can have a good afternoon getaway there if you happen to be shopping ard western side of orchard..which is Delif/Forum/Hard Rock area...
