How to end a relationship?

ok, so much discussion about how to let the other party know you like him/her or how to maintain a relationship. So, how do you end a relationship? The most common reason or "excuse" is not compatible in characters ... what else? -
How about "No reason" ?

The usual exercuses by men will be 'i think we need time to think it over between us', 'i dont understand u anymore we r like strangers, u change'.....etc
the prob is that the men will never tell (the truth) the gf why they wanna break. always some lame exercuses

What the reason it may beÂ…
Never ever end it through a third party eg sms, email, courier, letter, a mutual friend.
Be upfront about it and shorten the pain.

We are not compatible.
Is there such thing as 100% compatibility? Can anyone accept less?
We have too much differences.

Ask yourself who you actually fell in love with and how much has the person changed?
Changes are part and parcel of life. The only way a person can remain unchanged is that he/she is dead.
Some changes are beyond our control and some are not. Being unable to adapt to the changes is not an excuse to end the relationship. Unless the person change for the worst.
"No reason." is an cowardly excuse. -

yar not all but when they turn heartless these are the things they will say....
i agree that they are bad women also, and there are also bad men...so in the end always the gd the faithful one suffer
if these women say those things then break up is better coz why slog like shit just to be able to satisfied her material or physical needs...then again men wanted to be cheap they wanna to slog for women like that.

i agree with xavier coz if change of heart then i wont be so sad...is he the heartless one....but the problem is the one who suggested a break up will never tell the truth why they wanted it...they will make up stories such that it is partly ur fault that things dont work out....and if it is due to 3rd party worst they wont even mention....

[color=blue]Well If really want to break up I feel bothe parties should sit down and have a good talk about it. Behave like adults and do not ever bring skeletons out of the closet.
In a Relationship when it fails, one should not blame one another when it turns sour. Both parties also have faults. So I think the best is to really talk it out and if there is really no way to salvage it, part with friendliness. I mean I knew you when you are such a nice person, If i part with you, I want to have good memories and not all bad and ugly of it. -
