Are SEA Games Atheletes Arrogant?

If you notice, these imported "talents" of our SEA Games like Tao Li don't even bother to stand still during when the National Anthem is played for the victory ceremonies.
It's bad enough that they do not even bother to sing it or cross their hands along the chest like the soccer players. But surely you can show a little respect when our flag is raised? This is the country where taxpayers are paying them millions anyways compared to what they would earn in China?
My friend who was at the airport jsut happened to be there said that these sports people don't even bother smiling to some of their supporters let alone give them an auto graph.
I miss the days when we have humble sports people like Quah Kim Song and Fandi.
Today they are just so arrogant. -
They not local... no need to sing national anthem or say the pledge...
But as a courtesy... they need to stand at attention...
Type too fast... missed out one word.

SEA games does not accept that you play for a country if ur not local.
singapore has granted them citizenship so that they can play in SEA games. surely not a pain to learn the national anthem of the country that gives u a living? -

Frankly speaking, I had more pride in past teams who came back with only a few medals. They were truly Team Singapore trying their best. Now we pay for all these medals and I don't find any joy or frankly any interest in what present "Team Singapore" are doing. I will get flamed for this post but this is my frank opinion. -

but at least sg dun bring them in when they are great.. is when they are young.. and groom them.. so to me still all right...
