  ESPZEN Pte Ltd Awarded Singapore Sporting Inspiration Award 2007
  
  
  
  On the 25th July 2007, ESPZEN Pte Ltd was once again recognized nationally for its commitment to creating and sustaining a well organized and vibrant amateur football scene in Singapore. ESPZEN won the Silver Award in Sports Partner Category.
  
  
  
  
  Commenting on the award Lee Taylor, ESPZEN Director and Co-Founder remarked
  
  “Winning the SSIA award for 2 consecutive years is a superb achievement for ESPZEN and our staff, and for ESPZEN to be placed on the same platform as other sporting powerhouses such as Coca Cola, HSBC, KPMG, Standard Chartered Bank, Nestle, RHB Bank and Hewlett Packard, albeit momentarily shows how far we have come since our humble beginnings in 2004.”
  
  Shima Abdullah, ESPZENÂ’s Sports Operation and Development Executive collected the award from Mr Oon Jin Teik, Chief Executive Officer of the SSC, during the awards ceremony held at the Raffles Hotel. Shima was accompanied by Mr Mathew Boylan ESPZEN Director and Co-Founder.

  About Singapore Sports Council
  The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) was formed on 1 October 1973 as a statutory board of the Government of Singapore, established by an Act of Parliament under the SSC Act of 1973. It comes under the umbrella of the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports.   ESPZEN Awarded Sporting Singapore Inspiration Award - GOLD
  
  On the 25th August 2006 ESPZEN Managing Directors Mr Lee Taylor and Mr Mathew Boylan together with Sports and Operation Development Executive Ms Shima Abdullah attended the Singapore Sporting Inspiration Awards (“SSIA”) Ceremony organized by the Singapore Sports Council (“SSC”) at the Raffles Hotel, Jubilee Hall.
  
  ESPZEN had been singled out from many nominees for a GOLD award – Sports Partner Division from the SSC for its sporting achievements in 2005. Singapore Recreation Club and RHB Bank were given Silver and Bronze awards respectively under the same category. RHB Bank was noted for its efforts and association with S League, RHB Singapore Cup, the National Football Academy and Women’s football. Under the Sports Business Category, Organization Gold award winners included Standard Chartered Bank, Samsung Asia, and Lexus whilst Nestle and HSBC were awarded Silver.
  
  Lee collected the award on behalf of ESPZEN from Dr Vivian Balakrishnan Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports and Second Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts.
  
  
  
  Interestingly LeeÂ’s passion for sporting innovation has resulted in SSIA recognition every year since 2002. Leading BNP Paribas Sports Club to new heights, Lee collected the SSIA Outstanding Organization Award in 2002, 2003 and 2004, in 2003 Lee was also the recipient of the SSIA Outstanding Individual Award.
  
  Both Mathew and Lee are also co founders of BBAXN (www.bbaxn.com)- set up in 2005 to manage amateur basketball leagues.
