'Roo's dirty' claim Estonia

WAYNE ROONEY has been accused of dirty tricks by the Estonian who helped him end his goal drought.
Striker Rooney grabbed his first competitive strike for England in over three years thanks to a deflection off defender Raio Piiroja.
But Piiroja claims he was elbowed by the Manchester United hitman in the first half of this Euro 2008 qualifier at Wembley on Saturday. He insisted: “Rooney is a dirty player. He is very strong and physical and does things which Estonian players do not do.
“I finished the game very angry with Rooney. He is more dangerous with some of his play than the defenders.
“English players use elbows when they jump and that is not good for football. I think Rooney should have had a yellow card but he is a big star and referees do not seem to punish famous players, physical opponent.
“I can’t make excuses because England were better than us and the game was over after 20 minutes. But I think England will have a much harder game in Russia.”
Estonia keeper Mart Poom reckons England will qualify from Group E.
The Watford man said: “In the second half, England were thinking about the Russia game.
“When they were 3-0 up after half an hour I thought ‘Oh my God, this is going to be really embarrassing — they could score a hundred’. But England calmed down a bit in the second half and we regrouped.
England’s stand-in skipper Steven Gerrard warned: “Wednesday is a massive game.
“We’ve got to be on our toes. The atmosphere will be different in front of their supporters and we’ll be playing on a surface we’re not used to.”
