Notice how all the crap players from Manutd always get into the england squad and win caps when there are OBVIOUS better choices?
Take Brown, Phil Neville and Richardson to name a few
There are obviously better choices than to select them but why all the england managers choose them?
why mcclaren choose brown over carragher? why foster over carson?

have you ever wonder why Liverpool brought Morientes? ManU brought Veron? or Chelsea brought that Dutch defender? Southhamton brought that G Weah's fake relative? its all personal opinion, the opinion of the England manager for this case, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and who is to say he is right or wrong especially if football is concern? untill he became history?

does anyone know why spain players fail to perform well in big stage last time?
this was due to last time spain last time comprise of barca n rm players, since both clubs r arch rivals, the players divided among themselves into two groups.
somehow i feel this england will become like last time spain. -

Of course he will choose players from there. He believed in the enitre set-up at the club, and hence will choose players from there.
But like previous managers before him, Mcclaren are just choosing the big names XI, not best players for the position XI. -
because carragher can only tackle..
whereas king, brown and woodgates can pass the ball better..

IMHO, usually the main reason why a country does well at club level but not so well on international level is due to the excessive nos. of forgein players in key positions in their respective clubs just look at clubs like Chelsea, ManU (current), Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs, you have almost all the best players from all over the world but try putting a English team together using just their 1st teamer and you probably have as much headache as all those managers whom managed Spain and England. -

Saying he is cr@p is kinda extreme, he does have his strengths. I would say though that he is overrated and lazy at times.
