reds should add another right winger rather than left winger since there's harry kewell on the left.. on the right, pennant is sub-standard.. dont think he's capable to fit into liverpool's starting eleven if the reds is really serious in challenging Manchester United and Chelsea for the EPL title...

They need to buy, in order of priority:
1) Right Winger (Pennant was improving but still not the world class consistent winger we want)
2) Left Winger (What can i say...Kewell...i love him but i dun expect him to return to his form in leeds days.)
3) Right Back (They should have a back up for Finnan who is damn excellent but as he ages, he will play lesser, we need someone who is capable to come in this season and play at least half the games)
4) Centre Back (With Sami staying for one more season, get a tried and tested centreback to backup for the preferred pairing of Carra and Agger)
5) Another striker? (If Bellamy leaves, I guess we need one more top striker to create the quartet of terror, tevez would be nice. Well Voronin, i dun really think he can be counted on as a regular starter so i left him out as the quartet)
6) Make Mascherano's move permanent -
no offence...torres as a player is good...but have u notice....whichever player go to liverpool..sure slop de......something must be wrong with the club.

an article in today's TNP said torres, bent and reo coker are all overpriced.

signing torres does seem like a huge gamble considering he only scored 14 goals in the domestic league last season. And only 13 goals in domestic league 2 seasons ago.
The only season where he scored 19 domestic goal in 35 domestic matches was way back in 03/04 and out of this 19, 6 were from penalties if i am not wrong.
nevertheless, torres is still young and he will go all out to prove himself. I think he will do quite well but he may get injured and then his season will go poof. -

seriously a player that with alot of potential. But in epl i think he will need to beef up his physique.
in terms of scoring --- he's not up there.
guess he is more of an all round player.

His physique is quite decent. Note that he outjumped and outplayed Barca's Puyol in their last derby. Torres had to be a lone striker for most of the games in Ath Madrid and that din help his goalscoring exploits. Under such circumstances, his goal ratio per game is actually quite good.
Hopefully, he settles fast and scores his first league goal for the Reds and that should calm many nerves out there. -
