anyone have thoughts on this oldest tennis grand slam?
hot fav federer is probably going to wash everyone out again. but my instincts tells me not this time. -
my tots is all about hoping to catch hantuchova in action.....i wun mind catching karolina sprem in action too....been a long time since i last saw her play tennis..

yea dunno where sprem go alr... and hantuchova usually doesn't make it far. hopefully she will this season.

He looks thin but i remember a commentator mentioning he's got one of the most powerful forehands around. -

In the men's draw, no.1 seed and reigning men's champion, Roger Federer, will open the defence of his title on Centre Court on Monday against Teimuraz Gabashvili of Russia.
The second seed and last year's runner-up, Rafael Nadal, opens his Wimbledon campaign against Mardy Fish of the USA, while the third seeded Andy Roddick will play Justin Gimelstob in an all-American first round match.
Elsewhere, eighth seeded Andy Murray of Britain faces Nicolas Lapentti of Ecuador in the first round while fellow Briton, Tim Henman plays the 25th seed Carlos Moya of Spain. If Murray and Henman negotiate their first two matches, then they could meet each other in the third round.
In the ladies' singles, defending champion Amelie Mauresmo of France will play American Jamea Jackson in the first round; top seed Justine Henin of Belgium will face qualifier Jorgelina Cravero of Argentina in her first round match and the 2004 winner, Maria Sharapova plays Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei.
Elsewhere, two-time Wimbledon champion Serena Williams of the USA plays Lourdes Dominguez-Lino of Spain in the first round, while her sister Venus faces Alla Kudryavtseva of Russia. -
Murray out of Wimbledon
ANDY MURRAY has pulled out of Wimbledon after failing to recover from the wrist injury he suffered last month.
Murray had planned on leaving the decision on his participation at the All England Club until after his practice session on Monday.
But after an indoor session at Roehampton today, the 20-year-old announced he would not risk further damage to his wrist by taking on Ecuador's Nicolas Lapentti in the first round.
A statement from Murray read: "I have done everything possible to get ready for Wimbledon. I have played practice sets the last few days but still cannot hit a topspin forehand properly.
"It has been six weeks of really hard work but I'm not 100% ready.
"The wrist is a very important part of tennis and there are a number of players who have made the decision to come back too soon and ended up with long-term injuries and I do not want to take the risk and make the same mistake.
"The doctor has advised me not to play and that I probably need about 10 days to be ready.
"Unfortunately, I don't think it is going to rain for the next 10 days.
"I love playing Wimbledon because of the great support I get from the British public and that is what I will miss the most." -
no matter how bad federer did at the clay courts or the recent roland garros, my instinct tell me that he will still triumph at wimbleon.. coz this is the place where he love, where he made his name, where he won the consecutive 3 grand slam titles in a row.. he should be on top form for this.. fair enough.. nadal conquer clay court while roger conquer grass court...
