federer did send out a message to all in the hamburg by hammering Nadal 6-0 in the final set.
however, my feel is that Nadal was tired.
For the roland garros , he is the twice the defending champion and he will put up a better fight considering this is a grand slam event. -

Yesterday was the opening of French open but due to rain delay, didn't get to watch any matches.. hope to catch some tonight! -

Even now, off the court he is doing so much.
For me, I would prefer that he retired a lot more earlier.
Cause recently, he was playing only with the aid of painkiller, suffering from backpain.. if he have retired earlier, he would have maybe save this injury. -

Nadal is a clay count specialist but Federer is catching up fast on clay.
Nadal has the edge over Federer but personally I would like to see
Federer beats Nadal.
Nadal habit of fidgeting & delaying in the serving of the ball can be
irritating at times & I hope Federer (who serves normally) will win. -
federer will be the newly crown roland garros champion if nothing goes wrong. tt includes beating nadal n roddick on the way. shouldnt be a problem given his recent form at hamburg.

Actually, that's the sad inaccurate reality of the ATP rankings. Basically, rankings are determined by the points accumulated from tournaments each player chooses to play without taking into account the surface on which a tournament is played on. Hence, it can be easily concluded a claycourt specialist actually has a massive edge over a grasscourt specialist simply because there're more claycourt tournaments than grasscourt ones on the ATP calendar (and therefore, easier for the claycourt specialist to chalk up points).Originally posted by iceFatboy:andy #3? can't be, he did not do well recently...

Roddick has a proven pedigree on both grass and hardcourts which explains his formidable ranking. That said, he's hardly competent on clay, but I don't suppose the French Open organisers could ignore his overall ATP ranking.
On a sidenote, I think Davydenko's been dissapointing lately - then again, most Russians are unreliably inconsistent anyway...
