And Warnock puts all the blame to - Manchester United for not winning!
"[b]Of Sir Alex Ferguson's decision to start the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs on the substitutes' bench as his side lost 1-0 at home to West Ham, Warnock added: 'I think I was sold a dummy earlier in the week.
'But Sir Alex has his own reasons and obviously the Cup final was more important to him. But fate's fate. Probably Chelsea will win the FA Cup final and AC Milan will win the Champions League."
A case of sour grapes?

Leeds did not go into administration until it was confirmed they could not rise above 22nd.Originally posted by walesa:It's scandalous how lightly the Premier League let West Ham off the hook - contrast that with how the Football League dealt with Leeds when they went into administration.
It'd certainly be fun to see Sheffield United take their case to court...![]()
Actually, that's not true. Leeds went into administration sometime ago and the Football League made that decision prior to them playing their final match in The Championship - at that stage when the Football League decided to dock 10 points from Leeds, Leeds were mathematically not relegated yet (they had to thump Derby in their final game and hope for Hull City to lose their game by a sufficiently large margin to ensure Hull went down instead of Leeds) although it seemed realistically impossible for them to escape the drop.Originally posted by iveco:Leeds did not go into administration until it was confirmed they could not rise above 22nd.
I remember their chairman declared them debt free at the end of last season. However, they, like the Blades, did not win when it mattered a lot. As a result, they were marked for the drop.
Actually, I also believe ManU kelong in a lot of ways...... but that's beside the point.Originally posted by jianfish9:In what way was Man Utd kelong?
I think after a week or two, we will all forget about Sheffield Utd and just too bad for them. Its a pity for them.
Gerald Krasner, an insolvency specialist, led a consortium of local businessmen which took over Leeds and under his chairmanship oversaw the sale of the clubs' assets, including senior and emerging youth players of any value. Caretaker manager Gray was largely blameless for the performance of the team during the 2003-04 season as the majority of the squad was sold out from underneath him and despite his best efforts, Leeds were relegated after 14 years in the top flight. Following relegation, Gray's reign as caretaker manager was terminated, and Kevin Blackwell was appointed manager. Most of the remaining players were sold or released on free transfers to further reduce the wage bill. Leeds were eventually forced to sell both their training ground, for £4.2m,[15] and their Elland Road stadium[16] in the autumn of 2004.Originally posted by walesa:Actually, that's not true. That said, the Premier League and Football League have set out tough measures against clubs going into administration and one of those measures included the mandatory point deduction. In that sense, Leeds' case was pretty clear-cut.
However, they have no such regulations (point deduction) against clubs guilty of signing players illegally and that's what Sheff Utd is planning to go to the courts for. And West Ham's situation is very different from Leeds' in a way - it's really hard for any sane and objective person to believe points weren't deducted because their precarious position hadn't been considered when the Premier League met up to deal with their case?
Of course you would agree with innosaint, it's obvious why.Originally posted by gangsterkillar:Actually, I also believe ManU kelong in a lot of ways...... but that's beside the point.
I think inno. is trying to point out that these team's sideshow's effect is gonna be felt by all of EPL teams.
And NO! i dun think in 2 weeks we gonna forget about Sheff.Utd & Co, esp when they bring FA & West Ham into Courthouse.![]()
You forgot to mention Liverpool as well for letting Fulham win too. Or are you too fixated on Man U as usual. Anyway, you've always shown how 'objective' you are.Originally posted by innosaint:Thanks leh! and if this bottom four clubs start sueing kelong clubs like West Ham/ManU, .....................

Actually he did, although he didn't put his best 11 for 90 min, fact is that he used more of his best players than in the match against Chelsea. He started with Van Der Sar, not Kushack (however it's spelt). He did field Ronaldo,Giggs and Scholes although it was only in the second half. If he wasn't trying to win, why even sub them in and risk an injury on the last day? That can be a sign of wanting to chase for a result after conceding. I'm not sure if Rooney was among the 3 subbed off but he started the game. can't say much about the defence bcause Ferguson doesn't exactly have his best options fully fit at the moment.Originally posted by ghimpheng:but sir alex did said that he will put first team players so what warnock said is right
Actually, I wanted to see West Ham go down. But kudos to Tevez for proving himself a good played and shame on Sheffield for losing a match they should at least have drawn. I think Sheffield have themselves to blame actually.Originally posted by gigabyte14:i wanna sheffield![]()
