Benitez risks Man Utd anger with tips for AC Milan

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has risked Manchester United wrath after offering tips to AC Milan on how to stop Cristiano Ronaldo.
And he expressed a desire to see a repeat of the 2005 final between Liverpool and the Italians, rather than an all-English final.
In an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, Benitez said: "You need one very defensive player, strong and hard. Serginho wouldn't be right and neither would Marek Jankulowski be ideal, while Kakha Kaladze lacks speed. I spoke about this with Ferguson and we are of the same opinion.
"If (Paolo) Maldini has recovered his speed, he is the best solution."
As for the final, should Liverpool beat Chelsea, Benitez would prefer to play Milan.
He said: "Against Milan there will be more emotion. If we're in the final against Milan again, fine - it's perfect."
As for the Liverpool-Chelsea semi-final, there is a genuine personal dislike between Benitez and Mourinho, and the Liverpool boss admitted it is unlikely he will share a drink with his Chelsea counterpart as he did with Ferguson during the FA Youth Cup final between Liverpool and Manchester United at Anfield on Monday.
Benitez said: "You cannot have a good relationship. When we see each other at matches, you are trying to win and he is trying to win. It is not easy."

Manchester United chief Sir Alex Ferguson has warned AC Milan that they will face a team of men rather than boys next week.
Two years ago Milan knocked United out of the UEFA Champions League, but as the two prepare to face each other again next week - Ferguson feels the Italians could get a shock.
"Players such as Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo were not ready for those kind of nights and found it difficult against experienced and accomplished opponents," Ferguson told The Sun.
"As far as a lot of the players were concerned in that tie they were just setting out on a learning curve in Europe.
"How different they looked in the 7-1 win over Roma - boys had become men. It was a maturity that has developed through the squad."

Liverpool's Xabi mocks silent Chelsea fans

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has mocked Chelsea fans ahead of tomorrow night's Champions League semi.
Alonso, 25, said: "There is nothing about the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge that intimidates us.
"But when they come to Anfield, I'm sure our supporters are going to be by our side because they know the meaning of success in Europe.
"The extraordinary atmosphere we are going to taste again at Anfield for the second leg is a real bonus to us.
"It was a big help two seasons ago when we eliminated Chelsea in the Champions League semi-finals.
"Our support was important again last season when we beat them in the FA Cup semis. So we are confident." -

Only 10 outfield players were able to take part in full training on Monday.
Defenders Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic, Mikael Silvestre and Craig Cathcart will definitely miss the game, while Patrice Evra is doubtful.
If Evra misses out, Darren Fletcher is set to fill in at right-back, with Wes Brown and John O'Shea in the centre.
Left-back Gabriel Heinze is United's only other fit defender.
Midfielders Ji-Sung Park and Kieran Richardson will miss the game, along with striker Louis Saha.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unable to train on Monday but is expected to be fit to take his place on the bench.
In contrast to United, AC Milan were able to rest a host of players for their league match on Saturday.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti has a virtually fully-fit squad available, with striker Alberto Gilardino returning after suspension.
Keeper Dida has been included in the squad but is a doubt with a shoulder injury, while Ronaldo is cup-tied.
Ancelotti was encouraged by the news that Ferdinand will not feature at Old Trafford but is wary of United's attacking threat.
"Ferdinand is a very important player for their defence," he said.
"But we will have to be careful and keep possession of the ball but that could be a two-edged sword, because if we do not do well our opponents could hit us on the counter-attack."

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has warned Jose Mourinho that their recent success over his Chelsea side has left confidence sky high ahead of their Champions League meeting.
The Reds travel to Stamford Bridge for Wednesday's semi-final first leg showdown buoyed by a 2-0 success over the Blues in their last Premiership meeting back in January.
But the Spanish tactician also masterminded a semi-final victory over Mourinho two seasons ago when Liverpool went on to win the Champions League.
"We are boosted by the fact that we beat them in our last meeting at Anfield, and we know that the atmosphere and support we can generate there is very important for us," said Benitez.
"I suppose I would like to be in Chelsea's position only because it means trophies would have been won.
"But if you ask me whether I would want to swap this city, my team, my club, our stadium and supporters then the answer is no."
The former Valencia coach insists his side won't under-estimate Chelsea despite their recent success over the London club.
"Our aim is to approach this game in the same way that we did against Barcelona, we want to win and we want to score," he continued.
"It may be more difficult because Chelsea do not concede many goals.
"We go to Stamford Bridge intent on winning. We have done that both against Barcelona and PSV Eindhoven in the previous knockout rounds.
"But we do not under-estimate Chelsea. They are a very, very good side and have proved that by winning the title in the last two seasons.
"We are a better team than two years ago, maybe they are too, but for us we have more experience and we think we can do it again."
