THE RED SEVENS MAKE IT TO THE SECOND ROUND IN THEIR DEBUT
02 APRIL 2007
BUKIT JALIL KUALA LUMPUR - The Red Sevens qualified for the second round in what is their debut trounament by finishing in the top 16 teams among a field of 28 teams. Despite having to play the 1st, 2nd and the 4th ranked teams the Red Sevens exceeded all expectations and made it into the second round.

There are two main reasons for this-
1. You require a gun licence and a secure storage space to keep your marker in Singapore (like at the gun club - you would have to leave it at the gun club like you own a hand gun or rifle.)
2. There is no place to play / practice speedball in Singapore so no point getting a licence and etc etc keeping it here. Recball is too expensive.

i just got a MacDev 07 Cyborg Stormtrooper colour with a DXS Pulse loader.
Havent got a damn tank so couldnt use it in the MPOC. -

It will be held at Danga Bay, JB. Which is very near the causeway and a tourist location. Thus, it's relatively safe. (:
Costs will be borne by participants! How much it will cost you, is well, dependent on how much you want to shoot! A simple comparison with Singapore.

Big jump in number of cases involving illegal pellet guns

SINGAPORE: There has been a big increase in the number of people arrested for trying to bring in illegal toy guns.
Police said there have already been 21 cases this year, which is a significant jump, compared to the 38 cases recorded in the whole of 2006.
In the latest case, a Singaporean man will be charged in court on Tuesday with importing pellet guns illegally.
The 58-year-old man was caught at Changi Airport's Budget Terminal when he was returning from China on 14 February 2007.
When his bag was screened, he did not declare that it contained 20 sets of pellet guns (also known as airsoft or BB guns) and five bottles of pellets.
Police said some countries treat these guns as toys, but they look real and can cause damages and even injuries.
Most airsoft guns are detected at the airport and at other checkpoints where they need to be declared and surrendered.
Police warned that those convicted could face a fine of up to S$100,000.
They could also be jailed up to three years and fined a maximum of S$10,000.[/b] -

Have you ever tried speedball? I think I partially like woodsball a bit more- sometimes speedball is too fast. And more often than not we lose games just because we dont have emarkers and people just stay back and out gun us. In woodsball its more of a "game" you stalk and attack and defend. and its a longer game.
I guess the difference is like running in a marathon vs running in th 100m dash. Speedball is more harcore -

indoor paintball is fun too.. esp when they are open 24 hours and you get odd parties playing there. -
oh btw, i sold my Spyder VS3.. didn't like the feel of it.

How come? My friend ordered a VS2 and it was really cheap at only RM800 but it was crap and he had to return it. He ordered a Proto Matrix Rail - one bad idea to another because the PMR is just a problematic. Too many O-rings to maintain and damn hard to get into the marker to fix them.
This is my marker - the 07 Cyborg. Mine is "Stormtrooper" - white colour. My MacDev LegionAir tank just got in the shop and is waiting for me in KL - I can wait to get up there and it rip.
My team mates are in Australia at the moment- I'm hoping they will get MacDev Cyborgs while they're there... then we'll have some decent firepower. In the last tournament the only guy in our team with a Cyborg averaged 3 kills every game.

the v3 gave me alot of problems and for some reasons my compress air tank always leaks from it and i had to switch it to my old co2 tank hich i don't like using.. -

We use the stock A-5 in KL - sometimes I like it sometimes i hate it. It is a reliable marker - better than Taiwanese made rentals - but i hate it when I have to face an ION or worse an EGO with it. I hate Egos when they're in the hands of the opposition....
The X-7 looks mean but not for me... -
The Red Sevens are playing paintball in JB this Sunday 15th April
Anyone is welcome to come and try and play and learn how to play speedball with us. Armour Paintball's field at Octville Golf and Country Club
Instructions will be conducted for free - you just have to cover your own paint and rental fees for the mask and marker. We will be getting pellets at members price.
Please bring - old clothes- long sleeve t shirts and long pants- army pants. A dirty towel or rag to wipe off paint and football boots or shoes with cleats if you have them. And water.
We are meeting up at woodlands check point at 930am this Sunday- hope to see you all there.

Of course it s a good marker. It's one of the best markers in the market now. I had a fair share of markers and the A-5 is by far the best.. Never did once had a problem with it. Yeah, i'm thinking of getting an ION as my 2nd marker or either that a side arm.. Like those CO2 pistols.

We had a good time in JB- some of the JB teams heard that we were coming up to play so they all turned up hoping to get a game with is- one team was hoping we'd coach them.
The trip was mainly to scout the field - only 2 of us Red Sevens went and we brought 3 kids and a adult friend of mine came along. The ground was good no mud or scuffing despite the rain the night before. New Sup'air Bunkers - new Spyder Pilot house markers which shot pretty straight.
We met alot of JB players who were very nice and friendly- they came and introduced themselves. I guess we have a new place to practice and we have plenty of ready sparring partners.
Only draw back is that the place is pretty laid back- bunkers were not set up by the time we got there at 11am and safety....was not that great. Paint wasn't cheap too.
