I've got a Tippmann A-5 with a flat liner upgrade and auto trigger and the other marker that i just got is a Spyder VS3.Originally posted by artc55:We don't bring our markers into Singapore. I keep mine with a friend in KL. If I am going to play in JB I will keep it with another friend in JB.
There are two main reasons for this-
1. You require a gun licence and a secure storage space to keep your marker in Singapore (like at the gun club - you would have to leave it at the gun club like you own a hand gun or rifle.)
2. There is no place to play / practice speedball in Singapore so no point getting a licence and etc etc keeping it here. Recball is too expensive.
What markers do you have?
This invitation is open to everyone and anyone of any age, any level, new or old and anyone who has or has not tried playing paintball. We would like anyone who is interested to come and try to come along - we would teach you paintball safety and how the game is played.Originally posted by josephianpsf:The Red Sevens are organizing a get-to-know paintball event on 15 April.
It will be held at Danga Bay, JB. Which is very near the causeway and a tourist location. Thus, it's relatively safe. (:

Costs will be borne by participants! How much it will cost you, is well, dependent on how much you want to shoot! A simple comparison with Singapore.
Box of 2000 (TAG Paintball Singapore) : SGD400
Box of 2000 (JB) : SGD132
See you on the field,
Ben (Calgar)
CORRECTION: Paintball in Singapore and JB is expensive. Its because the paints are driven down from KL and prices are higher in JB because the supplier and the fields mark up and the paint.Originally posted by ben1406:holy crap, paintball in singapore and malaysia is god smaking ex !
still not cheap... i can get 1000 paintballs for 26CAD..Originally posted by artc55:CORRECTION: Paintball in Singapore and JB is expensive. Its because the paints are driven down from KL and prices are higher in JB because the supplier and the fields mark up and the paint.
In KL a box of 2000 pellets can be as low as RM180 and sometimes even lower than that.
whats rec ? im an out door player.. u know, open forest !Originally posted by artc55:you play rec or speedball?

yeah i do play speedball once in a while.. on the outdoor areans there are speedball courts.Originally posted by artc55:rec ball - as in like what you do woodsball.
Have you ever tried speedball? I think I partially like woodsball a bit more- sometimes speedball is too fast. And more often than not we lose games just because we dont have emarkers and people just stay back and out gun us. In woodsball its more of a "game" you stalk and attack and defend. and its a longer game.
I guess the difference is like running in a marathon vs running in th 100m dash. Speedball is more harcore
Of course it s a good marker. It's one of the best markers in the market now. I had a fair share of markers and the A-5 is by far the best.. Never did once had a problem with it. It's still going strong for me...Originally posted by artc55:We use the stock A-5 in KL - sometimes I like it sometimes i hate it. It is a reliable marker - better than Taiwanese made rentals - but i hate it when I have to face an ION or worse an EGO with it. I hate Egos when they're in the hands of the opposition....
The X-7 looks mean but not for me...
