Man Utd's Rooney in furious row with McClaren

Manchester United star Wayne Rooney turned on England boss Steve McClaren at the end of Saturday's dismal 0-0 draw in Israel.
The Daily Mail says a furious McClaren told Rooney he was under-performing and claimed the striker has failed to deliver since Euro 2004.
Rooney, who has not scored a competitive goal for his country since they beat Croatia in Portugal nearly three years ago, snapped back at McClaren and threw his kit across the dressing room in disgust. The Manchester United striker told McClaren that he was not the only player in the team responsible for scoring goals.
Rooney was still seething as he left the pitch following an angry exchange with Israel defender Tal Ben Haim during a match that leaves England struggling to qualify for the Euro 2008 finals.
Some of England's players had planned a night out in the Israeli capital but those plans were scrapped by McClaren after they failed to secure the three points they badly needed. The coach confirmed after the game: 'They'll be in this evening.'

A rift is developing between England boss Steve McClaren and assistant Terry Venables, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says the pair appear to have contrasting football philosophies which are taking them in separate directions.

and that would be Rooney and Lampard (no surprise).
Since when the last time that either Rooney or Lampard performed?
To be fair, I believe Rooney needs to be benched but Lampard, (here comes GP), well,up to the rest to decide.

to be frank, not all the blame should be shouldered by Rooney. i mean we all know he can play, but if you watched the match, you would see that he wasn't really in the game because they rarely passed the ball to him.
sure, they say great players dun need fantastic support to score all the time, but at least they need the ball if they are to score.
i think for this case, Rooney deserves to continue playing. we've all seen what he can do when he's given the support and chances. as for Lampard, tough luck but i favour Gerrard though i'm a Man United supporter. it isn't that Lampard is a bad player, it's just that with that one spot there, Gerrard is better at it.
now if McClaren can actually do his job, England wun be in the fix they're currently in. unfortunately, he doesn't seem capable enough, and if he remains there, England just might not make it to Euro '08. -
Most of the passes are long balls into the box for rooney n johnson. And McClaren expect rooney to perform.....

but rite now i have a feeling dat the england boys are trying to play politic n kick the fuss if they r drop, this can be show why mcclaren not brave enough to drop lampard and some star players. already dropping beckham has kena bombasted by media once england start to perform badly.
england's weaknesses are still the players' big ego. -

Well, for one I am not a blind faith supporter so maybe it's hard to relate. And I accept that many people are like that but it doesn't mean I think it's right. You not only know the strengths of that club, but also the weaknesses. But lots of times, that's how it is with people who only like the tops clubs, fair-weather fans who support blindly and hate blindly. Not all are like that, but some. People who don't know their football from their peanuts. -
