Yet another disappointing England's performance yesterday against the Israelis. I think England's attack lack drive. They seemed so slack when they reach the opponents' half.
My desired England's lineup:

one of the tactics is bring back beckham n pump all the long balls to bring, let him do the knock downs to owen, rooney or defoe. -

aaron lennon doesn't seem to be able to last the full 90mins. in fact he's quite explosive if used as a sub.
considering that most of the english starting 11 are from chelsea,liverpool and man utd. why not do a 4-3-3, since most of them have functioned that way before. -

england can play wit pace....dun play like wat other epl team style...using a target man...england only haf 1 targetman..which is crouch..if crouch is injured..who going to head....gerrard lampard vision is gd...i guess they can do gd passing...they play 3-5-2 against croatia...but the squad wasn't full team yet! is work better wit all players avaliable for england -
IMO, the current england team is too weak and wont be able to accomplish anything no matter who you pick for your XI. What they need is luck and a lot of them. Field anyone also the same.

i kinda realise something... whenever rooney play in the starting-line up, england's winning rate is kinda pathetic.

firstly, I would change the manager to mr Wenger.
he can introduce a new style of playing, not necessarily successful as seen in Gunner's european quest, but it will suit england more. -

I believe this team can go far. Have performed at club level. So no doubt about their credentials. Int level..Hmm.. My take is that its not the players that are weak but the manager. Put these players into the hands of wenger and i tell u...u will see the most flowing and attacking england ever.
Its all in the players' mentality. They have lost the dominance, esp in midfield, where the lack of control have left them short of ideas.
I dont blame players like lampard or gerrard. They are just playing without a good system or rather a system. The whole team looks lost and i feel its due to the lack of direction by the manager. The attack hardly had any bite and they felt as if they were happy with a point against israel.
Dump Mr steve and install wenger as the manager!!!! We want attacking football!!! -

lampard and gerrard can play together side by side in central midfield. just let them abandon their defensive duties and let them both storm forward. sure can.
