Portsmouth No2 Tony Adams admits he sees his coaching future away from England.
"I've got a bit more learning to do and it's five years since I retired," Adams told Sky Sports News.
"Maybe the Bundesliga - I've been looking at that. I think that's gone up this year, quality-wise, while I think the French league has gone a little bit down maybe.
"At Lyon, my old mate Remi Garde is an option and I may have a look at things and see the way they do things there.
"I shadowed Fabio Capello for a while - that was interesting.
"Maybe if (Jose) Mourinho goes to Madrid I will go and follow him for a few years. That might be worth learning, but we'll see, one day at a time."
