Thailand Gu-niangs should be punished by FIFA

The referee's decision is FINAL. Thailand are sore losers, walking away from the pitch when a decision goes against them. Weren't they the same disgraceful team which featured a bunch of flamboyant strikers trying to stop an Indonesia defender from scoring an own goal during Tiger Cup 1998? Now they did it again.
Singapore should have been awarded a penalty earlier but were denied. You don't see SG players boycotting the match, do you?
The referee should have abandoned the match just now, award Singapore a default 2-0 win, and report the incident to FIFA. What a disgrace. FAS should report this matter to FIFA and ask for sanctions to be imposed on Thailand's FA. -

if a complain was sent to FIFA.
the club. manager. coach. players. stuff will be fined.
fined for no sportsmanship.
no dicipline of players.
not repecting ref's decision.

if anything, should settle calmly
its super unprofessional to walk off and act like the pitch belong to them -
how would the thai king feels if he was watching the match perhaps better even if hes @ the stadium?? the commissioner also cant do sh!t abt them..

It is just part of a gimmick to attract more viewers. Most people fell for it, and thought it was for real.

but in the end dey played anyway and sg won 2-1.
hope they trash the boots out of them in the 2nd leg in thai.

no matter how controversial the ref, they should play on. simply no discipline and show what kind of kampong soccer attitude.
imagine jose mourinho have to walk out more than a dozen of soccer games in a season.
the thai are indeed a bunch of jokers in the footballing world. -
Put yourself in the shoes of those Thai boys. Simple boys from simple humble backgrounds. Here they are facing an opponent from a nation that they have been made to believe are screwing up their country. It is soccer, it is a patriotic game. When you lose in such a manner as they did, you obviously feel that you've been cheated, that destiny has done it again. I understand their reaction, and hope that they wil give our boys a hell of a game in Thailand.

Did you read yesterday's Straits Times news article:
"In 1998, Thailand & Indonesia were involved in a farcical group-stage match in which both teams tried to lose so that they could avoid hosts Vietnam in the semi-finals.
Both teams were taken to task by the Asean Football Federation and fined. By then, they were in no psychological shape to carry on playing and bowed out in the semi-finals"
It's a great shame for a top footballing nation in S E Asia to be behaving like clowns in soccer pitch.
It's time now for the organising committee to start issue warnings to Thailand's Football federation asking them to behave themselves. -
Trip ? It was never a foul. What trip ? I have seen the replay many times, it's a poor decision from the referee. The score should have been 1-1 . Period. Singapore was lucky to get the penalty. This is simply part and parcel of football. Even EPL has similar cases like this. -

Sport should remain as sport. By walking out, they have only made themselves look bad. -

There were a lot of fouls committed right in front of the ref which he simply ignored
but yeah, referee's decision should be respected and professionalism maintained -
I think our lions will hv a hard match when they visit thailand. Haiz... dunno how their fans going to react...

And in whatever shoes that I'm in, sportsmanship is the right thing to do.
Just because it is understandable does not make it right. As it is the referee was being nice to them - he could have flashed the yellow card to the entire team after five minutes of their childish behaviour for time-wasting.
Heck, we were nice to them - both the FAS chief and Noh Alam Shah (the guy who was tugged in the first place) urged them to continue playing. The two of them could have easily just kept quiet and wait for the referee to call off the match and award it to Singapore.
I seriously hope that the AFC or FIFA places sanctions on the Thai team. This is after all not the first time that they spat on the Beautiful Game and trampled on it. -
It is true that the action of the Thai boys were unsportsmanlike, no one is denying that to any effect. What I am saying is that that their behaviour is causal and should be understood, instead of being blatantly brandished as 'Unsportsmanlike' just because they did not meet a certain 'sportsmanlike' standard. Yes, sports and politics should not mix, it just kills whatever positives brought about through the interaction of wills. Thus any action which pervades this order should not be accepted. Therefore, the action of the Thai players should not be accepted.
