i rest my case
Just a "YES" or "NO" ! Can clean sheets record prove or determine which goal-keeper is good or better ??Originally posted by Poolman:Someone trying to know the stats of a good goalkeeper , the league position we shall put one side ....... cos Liverpool are obviously on top of Portsmouth .
The amount of win , draw and loses , also one side , cos pompey also can't compete , so how do we determined how good two keepers can be compare ?
Okay , maybe we should looked at the "clean sheets" , is it fair ?
Reina has ... 12 clean sheets .... the list as in
2-0 win Newcastle
3-0 win Spurs
2-0 win Reading
0-0 draw Boro
1-0 win Man City
0-0 draw Pompey
4-0 win Wigan
4-0 win Fulham
3-0 win Charlton
2-0 win Watford
1-0 Win Spurs
3-0 win Bolton ...... is this result justifable ? Stats don't lie , right ?

0-0 draw Man City
4-0 win Boro
1-0 win wigan
1-0 win Charlton

Calamity James vs Inconsistant Reina.
But my vote goes to James if it's for this ongoing season.
Reina made some high profile howlers this season. I was shocked when he punched the ball against the bar in the match against Everton which resulted in a Johnson goal. He, however, kept 12 clean sheets.
James has been pulling excellent saves week in and week out. His defence wasn't top class: Pamarot, Primus, Campbell and Johnson, but yet they are able to keep 8 clean sheets.
Cheers.
