putting your name on your favourite team jersey??

hi all,
when you buy your favourite team jersey, if given a choice, would you put your name there? or your favourite player? Do you grin when you see a geek-like player wearing a gerrard?
Now, I do admire it when liverpool fans got 5 on their back when they won the european cup, it meant something.
so I am for putting meaningful things on the jersey. like I would put Keano.
secondly, being a soccer jersey, it is meant for wearing during a soccer game.
However, it is just becoming a fashion sense. but from stats, gals just hate it, considering a jersey with jeans is poor taste.. do you think so? -

secondly jeans with jersey is ok but it will look better if match with bermudas -
Every one has different preferences. I dun mind having names, but abit more ex...
Jersey with bermudas or baggy pants look better than with jeans, unless you purchase those female version jerseys meant for girls...... -
