Yeah, i agree, i prefer to watch Malaysia footballin the early 90's football rather than now...
i uised to imagine i was one of the Malaysian state team players and i can even name some of them -
Malek Awab,Hasnin Haron,Zulkifi Kartayoho,Borhan Abu Samah,K Kannan,Craig Foster,Warren Spink,Suliat Dali,Kadir Yahaya...these are some more prominent names...

I think all of singapore is watching Our last malaysian cup final, when ever Singapore Lions scored, there will be shouts all over HDB Estates. Too bad we left the Malaysia Semi-pro and Things is not quite the same after.
When the national stadium is demolished, Kallang wave will be gone and the old atmosphere will never be back. Balek Kampong..

i miss malaysia cup.
i would go to the stadium with my secondary school friends to watch the matches.
even my father would drive us there in the van sometimes.
the fun and cheering after a victory is unlike anything we've seen in singapore for a long time.
MRT trains would come into kallang MRT station doing the familiar airhorn sequence for "Butok"
Traffic will always have no choice but to stop for the masses who cross the road.

I think you are refering to David Lee not David Lim. Personally, I think Edmund Wee was the best keeper Singapore had so far. somehow i think the s league is destroying singapore rather than building it.... no more passion left in s league. wats left is the swearing of referee kayu in matches....

Yeah those Malaysia cup days were crazy!!! My friends and I slept outside the stadium so we could buy tickets the next morning.I think it was Singapore Verses Penang..cant remember the score but there was a stampede and a School teacher died.I think Penang won that year.Names to remember ;Eric Payne,Robert Sim,Lim Teng Sai,Dollah Kassim,Arshad Khamis,Gulam Mohammed,Mohammed Noh,Rajagopal,Lim Tien Jit, Seak Poh Leong,Samad Allapitchay....These days Hello kitty is even more exciting so watch out for the big stampede!!
