Jose Mourinho wants his Chelsea reserves team to be entered in the Championship.
Speaking with The Sun as promotion for Children's Cancer Awareness Month, a campaign run by CLIC Sargent, the UK's top children's cancer charity, Mourinho said: "The reserve team competition should finish, it is nothing.
"At the moment our best kids are playing at QPR. It is better.
"Do you know where the Real Madrid reserves play? In their version of the Coca- Cola League."
When asked if he would like to see Chelsea B in the Championship, Mourinho said: "I would love to see it.
"If that happened, players like Diarra, Mikel, Kalou, when they are not selected for the first team they have competition.
"It would be like in Spain, the B team would not be allowed promotion. They don't even play in the cup to stop the possibility of Real Madrid A against Real Madrid B."
Excellent Idea We are the Chelsea Reserves are the REserves Champions afterall.
Note : this might be a chelsea news but i think this is a important news that affect the whole epl and the FA to decide wheather Chelsea Reserves are allow to be play in the championship -

Then slowly promote to championship, if they manage to. -

Anyway, Only 4-5 players from Chelsea are not first team but the rest are more or less from the first team. Do you think players would join the club to think that u're bought just to play in the reserve?
The English league is different from Spanish La Liga so be it. How would you like to see a Chelsea A team vs Chelsea B team and there're lots of injury problems? Also, players will not get the chance to play for the first team if they're selected for the 2nd string cos technically speaking, these are 2 different teams. Coaches would like to have their own set of players instead of having to "pass them around".

I think the reason why mourinho has spoken is because we all know his reserves are made up of internationals and do not come cheap. with such tight competition in the main first 11, its definitely a while before the reserves are given a chance to play on the field in the permiere league. we all know that a long absence in a football player will not do him much good or for his club and maybe mourinho might be starting to feel and understand that his reserve international team is rotting away slowly if not given a chance to really play competitively on the field.
As for the transfer of schev, i guess we are slowly getting the picture that it was more of a Roman who wanted schev than mourinho.. -

Jose Mourinho's calls have angered David Gold
Birmingham chairman David Gold has branded Jose Mourinho's call for Premiership reserve teams to play in the Football League "disrespectful."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger backed Mourinho's plea for Chelsea reserves to play in the Football League.
But Gold said: "Jose often talks about requiring respect, but this is disrespectful to Football League clubs.
"It's not the Football League's problem if his players aren't getting enough competition," Gold told BBC Five Live.
Mourinho claimed English football should follow the example of Spain, where big clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona are allowed to field their B teams lower down the professional football ladder.
The B teams cannot be promoted, and they are not allowed to enter Spanish cup competitions.

Mourinho had said: "I would love to see it.
"I can tell for sure that if that happened players like Lassana Diarra, Mikel John Obi, Salomon Kalou, when they are not selected for the first team, they have a competition to play in a different level. So they should have a look."

"I've said it many times because it happens in France. In France there is two divisions difference and you cannot come up.

BENITEZ BACKS RESERVE-TEAM CONCEPT
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has endorsed Jose Mourinho's comments that Barclays Premiership reserve teams should play in the Football League.
The Spanish coach had first-hand experience of such a scenario when he had a spell in charge of Real Madrid's second team, who competed in Spain's domestic league.
Benitez said: "I think it would work in England and is a good idea.
"English players like to compete, whether it is the Championship, League One or League Two.
"This would be good experience for them and very interesting from my point of view.

what the hell?! reserve champions also something note worthy ar? alamak, some of you guys really need to get a life....i stopped following footie a couple of years ago and suffer no withdrawal effects. some of you lot get heated up over b team participation....go forth and make your millions, don't waste time watching millionaires running up and down...
