Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has warned Manchester United not to rest on their laurels after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Arsenal.
The draw leaves Chelsea eight points behind United in the race for the title after Michael Essien's stunning late goal cancelled out Matthieu Flamini's opener.
Mourinho concedes United boss Sir Alex Ferguson would be happy to see Chelsea drop two points against Arsenal, but has warned the Scot that his side will pile the pressure on the current leaders starting with their game in hand against Newcastle next Wednesday.
"I think he (Ferguson) must be happy now because we can say we dropped two points but if he thinks it's over he is in trouble," Mourinho told Sky Sports.
"Chelsea are ready, we were losing at home with five minutes to go but we had an incredible reaction and should have won the game.
"I think it will be five points after Wednesday (after the Newcastle game).
"After that let's do it, let's enjoy it. Going in front is better but let's chase them.
"We showed at Old Trafford we are not afraid of them, we can beat them at Stamford Bridge."
Mourinho admitted he was surprised by Arsenal's tactics at Stamford Bridge claiming they set out not to get beat, but accepted a draw was a fair result.
"Everybody saw the game. We had chances to win the game and we tried to win the game," added Mourinho.
"In the first half they had better control, better possession, more quality and more confidence.
"After their goal we had a great emotional reaction and scored an unbelievable goal and then we had big chances to win.
"For the way they were in the first half and the way they were in front 1-0 I accept a draw.
"But for me it was a bit of a surprise for a team who are 18 points behind the leaders to come here not to win just to go with a draw it almost says `we don't want to win the Premiership, we just want to make a positive result at Stamford Bridge'.
"It was a bit of surprise, but I accept the draw in spite of missing unbelievable chances at the end." -

the referee missed two things, one, he should have given a yellow to gunners' swiss defender, two, he should have given a freekick to gunners which he did not and led to Chelsea's goal. -

And Arsene had a good reply for him.
I think Mourinho is crazy if he expect teams to come in, try to match Chelsea, one and one and in the end get a 6-0 thrashing. I bet most managers are wise and would use a 451 formation.
anyway, when mourinho mentioned that MUFC lost 2 pts when they failed to beat Chelsea at home is back to haunt him. Fact is chelsea lost 2pts.
Now, the lead is realistically 5pts not 8pts.
The way Gunners are playing, really, superb. I seriously think FA should consider Arsene for England manager. -

chelsea was on top gear when there is 10 minutes left on the clock
but wait it is only 8 points gap with 1 game in hand
it can be reduce to 5 points this coming midweek
and to 2 points if we defeat united @ the bridge -

WE REALLY Miss Cech Excellent goalkeeping alot
sometiems pple say Cech have virtually nothing to do by having such a great defence
but judging from this season , the absence of Cech has affected chelsea alot
