I don't think it is Sheva's or mourinho's fault. Both are quality and have a proven record.
Its unfortunate that perhaps chelsea's style and tactics are not suited for shevchenko and his huge price tag and reputation does not help him much also. -
Give Sheva at least one season to accustom himslef to the premier league..
Look at Essien..he is getting better and better after a bad prevoius season... -

but with these two, I felt chelsea became slower.
once they have Robben and Duff, wow... they were so fast in counter, so dangerous. At that time, it was really awesome watching Chelsea as they were tearing teams apart. Most teams would hold back just to contain them, But this season, it is different, seems to lose the pace.
But of course, they claim they got more quality.
Pace and quality is in the balance.
and now even Essien has to play right back.

more like fitting ballack and svech into the team to justify their purchase.. roman would not be happy if both purchases would end up on the bench... but when robben goes in, the team seem to pick up so much rythmn and pace.. i wonder why robben is always on the bench... lack of match fitness?

Robben must improve his shooting b4 he play
he had too many missed chances
jose will surely ask him to train his shooting for awhile since he can created SO MANY chances that can easily lead to a goal
when robben shooting improved it is time for the rise of chelsea thus overtaking man utd sooner or later -

if you had watch chelsea matches u can see how many chances robben wasted on many occasion thus if robben improve the chelsea squad can become much potent when attacking
even if robben don't improve it does not matter as robben is not our key player now but he will be in the future but i think jose know that he got great potential of becoming an Excellent player
and jose is confident that they will take over man utd as chelsea only get stronger and stronger when the season goes on even without robben as you can see he used ballack instead of robben for the EPL match against man utd from the start -

Can you justify paying so that much money only to let the player settle for at least a season? its either the player is not what it seems although in this case schev is a class striker, it looks more of a case of tactical conflict on mourinho's part. theres just more of a personal competition i see - ballack vs lampad, drogba vs schev..
How many goals did RVN score in his first season in Man U? how many goals has he scored now that he's in maldrid? 2 hat tricks at least if i'm not wrong.. -
