Ronaldinho has again declared he wants Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard as a Barcelona teammate.
Barca are plotting a �30million summer swoop for Lamps after he proved he can dazzle the Nou Camp with a breathtaking goal from an impossible angle to help Chelsea to a 2-2 draw in the Champions League three weeks ago.
The England star's performance convinced Barca president Joan Laporta to place Lampard at the top of his wanted list.
The club are aware that Lampard, whose partner Elen Rives is from Barcelona, has been learning the lingo for over a year.
And Ronaldinho told The Sun: "Frank Lampard is a great player and I am happy to have had the chance to meet him and get to know him on several occasions on and off the pitch.
"He is my friend and I love to watch him play and it would be a joy for me to see him at Barcelona." -
i hope chelsea sells lampard.

I think with Lampard gone, I think Chelsea can adopt more wing play.

Lamard's absence will not affect chelsea very much anyway sice they alrdy have ballack

actually does Lampard fits style of football in Spain? I doubt. Look at Beckham, Woodgate, Owen, Macmanaman...all went to Spain & disappeared....sure, lampard can score goals from long distance, his workrate is superb, anything else?
Honestly he shld stay in England, I mean, what can Barca offer him that Chelsea can't ? I cannot think of any..... -

actually kinda agreed that Chelsea is probably the best in the world in terms of money and potential, but sometime playing at clubs with big tradition, like Barca, BM, Real, AC Milan, Juv, and to a certain extend Liverpool and Man Utd does have its appeal.. but then again that was post Roman A. times these days things just change.. -

lampard is better den ballack imo. lampard covers alot of ground and defends too. he's like a jack of all trades kinda player.

i dun think barcelona needs lampard.
barcelona midfield already damn good, with deco, xavi ronaldino, messi, guily, iniesta.
if it aint broke, dun fix it.
man u made a costly mistake when it bought veron, no need cos got keane, scholes, butt, beckham and giggs. -

I beg to differ....
Barcelona & Ronaldhino wants Lampard for the folllowing 2 reasons :
1. So that Chelsea will lose their last season top scorer and main midfielder.
2. To unsettle Lampard cos his GF will also put pressure on him to go back to Spain especially her hometown barcelona.
and then destroy him by putting him on the bench just like Beckham.

IMHO, Lampard is a very effective midfielder and will usually delivers what the manager ask him to do, hardly disappoint you if you have good players backing him up like what is happening in Chelsea.. with Essien and Makelele doing most of the defending work he is able to push up field without worrying and when he drops back to help in defending.. being the so call third "DM" when he falls back, it'll looked as if his is good in defending
Ballack IMO is probably better then Lampard, his link up play, his attacking, his defences spliting passes, his late run into the box..etc will probably put Lampard to shame but the problem is he is not doing it in Chelsea now, however all along he is one of those talented players that will do wonder this min but fade away almost instantly at some point in time, sometime even within the game itself, but between him and Lampard, Lampard as what i've mentioned above, is at max an effective player whom deliver what was told when things are laid nicely for him but hardly gives more and will usually not surprise you kinda player whereas Ballack is considered as a gifted player and will at time gives you something so spectacular that you'll be leave breathless..
Barcelona has too many creative players and would probably needs players who are effective and will dig in and rough it out for the team, however without the other backup for Lampard, i seriously dun think he'll be as effective as he is in Chelsea...
