Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg was struck down earlier this week - by a piece of cheese!
The Sun says the Arsenal star made history on Monday as the first star to twice be voted Sweden's Player of the Year.
But the midfielder, who has an intolerance to the foodstuff, accidentally swallowed some cheese with his meal at the posh Stockholm awards do and was left vomiting into a bin.
He told stunned kitchen staff: "Either I'll be OK or you're going to have to call me an ambulance in 40 minutes and take me to hospital."
Luckily, he recovered and travelled with the Sweden squad for their midweek friendly against the Ivory Coast in France.
Ljungberg revealed: "I am allergic to cheese and probably got it from the awards dinner on Monday night.
"I really wanted to play against Ivory Coast but I couldn't see." -

it depends on how hard the authorities want to come down on the clubs.
giving them a slap on the wrist is not going to help. A good example, is the fight against racisim, and the position Spanish FA is taking.
It is not going to work. So unless FIFA or UEFA grow some "B***, and do some actions, nothing will change in the immediate future. -
Pedersen reveals UEFA Cup beer attack
Blackburn midfielder Morten Gamst Pedersen has revealed he had a plastic beer cup thrown at him in the UEFA Cup game against Feyenoord in Rotterdam.
The incident happened in the 13th minute at the De Kuip Stadium when he shaped to take a throw-in.
He said: 'I got beer in my face and had sticky eyes afterwards. It could have been worse but it should not happen.
'Of course you think what might have happened if it was something else, like a hard thing, but it was just plastic.'
UEFA might feel obliged to investigate and Pedersen added: 'It is up to them if they follow it up or not.
'But I am okay. There are no marks on me, just a bit of beer in my eyes.'
Blackburn secured their passage into the knockout stages after picking up a hard-earned point from a 0-0 draw.
UEFA have opened an investigation into the incident involving Pedersen and action may follow against Feyenoord.
A UEFA spokesman said: 'The matter was mentioned by the UEFA match delegate and a case has been opened. It will be investigated and is likely to be dealt with by the control and disciplinary panel on December 7.'
