arsenal is definitely capable of beating Chelsea at Emirates stadium, same thing, they can dish a whipping to Man U as well.
But if they are not going to exhibit some sort of consistency, they aren't going anywhere. But this Arsenal squad has potential - the players are still young and many of them have a long way to go and has yet to reach their peak. Febregas, Toure, van Persie and lads are still in their early 20s. AW took the bold step to drop the old guards - Viera, Campbell, etc and blood his young players. sure, you don't expect to win anything in the first few years when the young players are still raw, but give them two to three seasons playing together, they will be a force to be reckon with.
Compared to Chelsea, sure they have the mega stars in Shevchenko and Ballack and Lampard but they are heading to late 20s / 30s already, moreover, some of them come with "burden" - thinking that they should be the stars of the team. Sooner or later, they will run into problems and the problem of continuity sets in. Whilst they have young players too, they don't have the on-field experience that Arsenal players have. Of course, Chelsea can stick to their policy of buying the best every season, buring money in the process, but sooner or later, they will end up like Real Madrid - the galactos but what in terms of achievement, not really there. -
Arsenal do have a better prospect then any other teams in Europe. If they can cope with the present problem, they are gonna win it sonner or later. Not like Spur or Newcastle or even Liverpool, they have a committed manager to groom and train them well. Wenger is a person who plan well for the future, with that and the team have faith in him ,the team can beat anyone as they show in UCL last season.

let me explain to you whats the different between yours and what the rest of the guys are talking abt here...
1stly, i've to agreed that between Joe Cole and Robben, the later is a better winger/AM then Cole is, period. now on your agrement.. assuming that Robben in a match, will do lots more damage to other team's defence then what Cole will ever do in his entire life.. but Robben is just a winger that will usually run at defence or send in a couple of good cross for the strikers to score and at most have a goal ratio of 1 in 5 game kinda player.. right?
ok now over to this thread, the main difference between Henry and Robben is that Arsenal is being built ard Henry, meaning Henry is the soul of the team, almost every player brought into Arsenal is to compliment his playing style and for the betterment of Arsenal fire power with Henry being centre of everything.. and of course his goal ratio last couple of season is probably second to none in consistence..
so do you see the differences between the two teams and players? Robben is a great player but was being brought into Chelsea to play as a team player (but of course Chelsea doesn't operate like Arsenal, they dun build a team with any particular player) whereas Henry to Arsenal is like their soul..hence dun you think Henry to Arsenal is probably alot more important then Robben is to Chelsea??? Robben is just like a leave beside the flower, important but will never be the life of the plant... -

2ndly, it also doesn't means the other 9 outfield players are standing doing nothing during a match,
3rdly, even the best player Pele has his off day,
4thly, building ard this player only means the manager will try to buy players that'll have playing style suitable for that player,
5th, the other players are allow to score, run at defences, cross, defend, block, pass even if the team is built ard another player,
6th, the other players dun have to be sold off when Henry retired or sold just like when you're bloke you dun have to throw away your wallet
7th, do you throw away your car when your petrol runs out
8th, pls reply me cos other then our friendly neighbourhood football who had since talk with lots of sences, you'll be the only person that'll keep me from coming back here to post and reply.. pls reply
