Can somebody explain why a team who lost to a championship team last week can win a premiership team immediately?
Manchester United eliminated by Southend but won Blackburn in premiership.
If no aftermath effect at all, that means they purposely lost to Southend la? Kelong? -
eh cos smaller clubs tends to treasure these cup games mah..
as got xtra income for them if they can process further in..
n on top of tat they got only their League games to take care of..
other then MU who has to chiong for the title n UCL..
therefore it might be better for them to concentrate more on the 2 major areas..
anyway MU as a bigger club will cfm go for bigger income..
therefore they will be more concentrated on UCL n title chasing mah..
as more glory mah if they win the League n UCL compare to those smaller cups..

no, that was not fair to Southend.
SAF has clearly put out a strong team but as he puts it "beaten by a team with stronger desire, and MUFC deserved it".
I believe reports were out regarding how Southend players heard the hairdryer treatment MUFC players got after that defeat.
MUFC was beaten by a superb goal, and was unable to recover.
Much can be said for the pitch but results don't lie.
Hopefully, with this cup out of their mind, they can focus on others such as the title and UCL.
And I know the threadstarter is trying to poke fun at MUFC, but all credit to Southend for proving their desire and proving that underdogs can have their day if they worked hard at it. -
cup competitions are more unpredictable.
