he is just a kid lar, throwing the odd petulance and naivety here.
i wouldnt discuss football with him, I will with serious people with football knowledge with other rival fans, just a waste of time talking football with him, all he knows is how to eulogise chelsea and denigrate other rival teams with statements like, chelsea will win the epl title 2006-2007, finishing CL with at least semi finals, winning this season fa cup etc etc -

two things...
1) I am a MUFC fan, and I put my feet firmly on the ground.
What's happening about the league title that I am particularly excited is not that we are top, but the fact that Chelsea has not taken off like a rocket like past seasons (like what they say, can't even see the rear-lights). This gives all chasing pack a chance. Honestly, I would consider MUFC underdogs given that we are trying to win back the league title.
2) actually, GP has a point. With Chelsea, now it has become a sprint rather than a marathon. And for MUFC to sprint for 38 games, it would be a struggle.
Please, realistically speaking. We struggled when Giggs was out, we lost 5 points, to reading and arsenal. So we are still lacking of quality substitues.
MUFC doesn't make enough to have quality benchwarmers.
Yes, it is a good feeling that MUFC is trying to exert pressure.
Now, we need to do the job at Celtic and then the mega show with Chelsea. -
now, we may win and extend the lead by 6 points over Chelsea.
this will cause great disturbances and would have Roman and Jose having more meetings with Referees and English FA.
Frankly, I believe Poll has refereed his last chelsea game.
Well, he better do that or retire like a sweden referee who has to fear for his life. -
i still think chelsea will win the title.
they have a lot depth in the squad and they have the money to buy players whenever the need arises.
but the same cant be said of the other title contenders. -

1) cech out for whole season will put paid to their chances of retaining epl title and winning its first CL. cudicini is not in the league of cech, he is good, but not as good as cech or VDS. rio ferdinand out in 2004 put paid to man u hopes of CL and epl title, remember that?
2) buying sheva and ballack means they want to focus more on CL, chelsea seldom play wingers this season, just to accommodate sheva and ballack.
3) their defences is not as strong as last 2 seasons, esp gallas leaving for arsenal, and their rite back seems to change, ferrera playing one week, next week change to khalid boularouz, the dutch defender. -

actually, I think the latest change is to put some size in their backline.
Watford is one that is pacey and quite big size.
and I do agree, Cech is one big key.
but well, they can go out and buy the top 3 keepers.
