Name the player whom you think is the most wasted talent in English football..
imo, one of the best midfielder ever to represent England but was cut short due to tonnes of off the field problems.. = Gazza, on his day Lampa, Ballack and Scholes add together also cannot touch his ballz!!!

i think rooney plays like gazza but rooney's shooting accuracy is even better.

he was magnificent at forest, but when he left for man u, cos of 1 horrendous injury out for 1 whole year, he was not the same player anymore, same as gazza when he was out for 1 year in 92. -

the way he dribbled past a few defenders b4 scoring for spurs and england.
look at the videos before 91, i think you know what i am talking abt.
even those dribbles by gazza, i think rooney cant duplicate. gazza was out of this world b4 1991.
I think even the great zidane, with his trickery and flicks, also didnt dribble past defenders like gazza did, before scoring, for both club and country. -

he was hailed as the next great eng goalie when he moved to liverpool from watford in the early 90s.
a series of howlers did him in and GH sold him to villa.
its a pity he didnt fufil his potential in the 90s when he joined Liverpool.
Jame's biggest howlers came in the 96 fa cup final, when his mistake led to cantona scoring. -

Desmond Walker is another good player who were one of the very few English guys who played(but not so well) in Serie A... -

After David James is Ian Walker from spurs, then to Leicester.
his only eng cap was defeat to italy in 97 world cup qualifier at wembley. -

He always score on his debut for every club he joined but i dont think he won any honour rite?

Yes, when he first came out in 94 with forest when they got promoted to the epl, he was with great promise, then he moved to liverpool. first year at liverpool was ok, but 2nd year onwards, i think he attitude or something, then later was sold to villa.Originally posted by CKeer:Wad about Stan Collymore?

Matt Le Tissier is also another wasted talent, he did so well in Southhamton that i dare said he was the reason why they managed to stay in EPL..the guy has so much talent in his pocket.. but sad that due to he die hard support for them, he remains as a Saint till he retired..really wonder how far will be go if he happens to play for the big three at his peak..Originally posted by The man who was death:matt le tissier
