I wonder if he thinks about his decision to turn down a 3 year contract with Ajax Amsterdam a lot these days..
He would be partnering Van Basten in attack then..

I saw Fandi training with the YLions 1 year ago. He was with a few strikers and he was showing them how to volley into an empty net, from the edge of the penalty box.
A guy will throw the ball towards the striker who will use his hand to indicate where he wants the ball to be for him before he strikes.
Fandi hit 3/3 with a SOLID thump into the CORNER of the goal post, exactly where he wants his strikers to aim.
That's how good he is, even at his age. He once said that striking is an art to him, something that is very hard for him to impart.
I wish Fandi all the best!

"In 1978, at the age 16, Fandi became the youngest-ever player ever to play for the Singapore national team.
In 1980 he was a member of the Singapore representative side which won the Malaysia Cup. He scored the winning goal in the final, where Singapore beat arch rivals Selangor 2-1."
I watched it LIVE at my grandma kampung house in front of a black n white TV with about 40 people...
Bring back the Malaysia Cup days! Fandi, you are the best!
